A Favorite Freewrite

Every Tuesday, you have a chance to win a membership to Steem Basic Income, SBI, at the Freewrite House.

Try to win one, my friends. An everlasting vote on your posts is nothing to sneeze at.

We want to make it super easy for you. Your task is to tell us in the comment section about one - or more- freewrites of others you have read in the last couple of days you really liked. Yup, not your own!!

The comment must be at least 50 words long - no upper limit 🤪

See the rules below for details.

In an ideal world, you also give that person a nice upvote - but we are not going to check on that.

To be entered into the drawing, go to the Daily Prompt post by @mariannewest. We are doing our best to resteem them to the Freewrite house profile.
Read as many Freewrites as you can. Then tell us about a freewrite you really liked and why.
Choose from the last couple of days if possible so others can go, visit, and, inspired by your description, leave a vote.

Hey guys,
So it's my first week nominating a post, thanks to @owasco for promoting me to stop by - see what I did there. But let's get to if I'm nominating https://steemit.com/creativecoin/@felt.buzz/no-place-like-home-a-weekend-freewrite by @felt.buzz.

A witty and comical fiction tail about a young man, well I'm assuming gender here, who seems to be in need of a good cup a tea but is thrown off his game by an elf, who turns out to be his stepfather. Talk about freaking pot twist! The dude seems to be worried and I don't blame them. Like they say, once you go elf, you basically living on a shelf!

@freewritehouse, Kindly find the below blog post for your reference which is shared by @ireenchew.

https://partiko.app/ireenchew/5-minute-freewrite-prompt-continuation-mystery-books?referrer=chireerocks

In my opinion we hear so many mysterious stories, tales and supernatural aspects. After going through from the Mystery Book post of @ireenchew one thought came into my mind and that is, may be supernatural aspects are not just Imagination but it can be true too.

Have a wonderful time ahead team and keep up the encouraging work. Stay blessed.

This week I recommend @marblely's freewrite for pink collar. The story depicts the sadness of a single mother who can't afford to buy a pretty trinket for her daughter. The photo below the story adds to the sense of alone-ness. I haven't been a single mother, but I have had to live on a very tight budget and I, too, know how it feels to have to say "no" to those sweet, pleading eyes.

I have 2 favorites. The first one is written by @kaelci using the prompt: mystery books. The stack of books in her room became the mystery. "Fifty Shades of Blue" is a fun read with an unexpected ending.

The second one was written using the same prompt: mystery books. @onyechi explains why she likes to read mystery books; because once you start to read one, you can't put it down. Her review of "Da Vinci Code" was just like reading a good mystery book, never being able to predict what she would say next. Another fun read.

My favorite of the week is this one by @prettynicevideo.

https://steempeak.com/freewrite/@prettynicevideo/tuesdays-5-minute-free-write-prompt-mystery-books

I have read her story before and admire her strength and great attitude so much. In this freewrite we get a take on mystery books completely out of the norm. I was thinking she might be reading them to take her mind off of her trouble, but no - it is not that at all. Absolutely worth your time to read this one :)

@jdkennedy's Wild Pigs was just the light, fun fare I needed, with a clever twist - "unreliable narrator" coming to a logical (or not!) conclusion.

My favourite this week is: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@olivia08/my-first-entry-freewrite-by-mariannewest-poverty-oveae2d0

It inspires me, reading how living in poverty is not a hindrance to @olivia08's happiness. Instead, it became the driving force behind her determination to give her family a better life. She did not bow down to the situation, but she took it head-on, thinking positively and turned it into a motivation to fight poverty. Her sacrifices of working abroad, away from her family for years, may seem unfair but proved to be worthwhile, for she is able to provide for her family to live away from poverty.

(Edited)

Thank you @mablebly. Even myself, until now I could not believe how I did this all. It was not my dream. God took me here and this is my destiny.
Anyway, I edited my comments, thank you for choosing my entry. I thought you are just commenting it in my post. Too busy early in the morning like this then at night my body when it touched to my bed, not a minute I am fully asleep, perhaps it because of whole day doing my household chores.

:) no worries @olivia08. I hope you are able to get some rest this weekend. Do you get a day off on Sundays?

No day off for a lifetime. Wahahaha! But I can do it at home if I want too. No pressure here with my boss.

My favourite of this week has been one of my favourites since I read her for the first time. If it comes to good content this is it!/@deeanndmathews keeps writing no matter what the prompt is and it does not influence her storyline at all.

Read for yourself https://partiko.app/deeanndmathews/day-698-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-a-bunch-of-excuses?referrer=wakeupkitty and keep in mind that the Mrs Thorntons and Baxters do exist and you can find them on Steemit, our Big Loft, too.
Great ladies willing to invest time in all the Margie Bells who come up with a bunch of excuses. They give you advice, tell you what to do to change your life and even give you food (for the mind) to take home with you.
