@mariannewest

The weekend freewrites are my favorites to read. It always amazes me where the authors are taking these three prompts that often seem impossible to bring together into one coherent story.
I love where @iamraincrystal is taking last weekend's prompts. All I want to say here that we are entering the realm of the supernatural and that there is another story she wrote before that connects. Read it! You won't regret that you did.

@felixgarciap

It is always positive to integrate into a community as positive as FreeWrite House, so today I give you my recommendations this week:
@fitinfun, although she tells us that this disoriented, shows us her courage and determination to continue writing despite a slight health setback. I hope that when she reads this comment she is better. Here your post.

@isgledysduarte shows us that despite our disorientation we are children of the beloved God with a purpose of life to fulfill. You can read her statement here.

@mr-neil, entertains us with his drawer stuck in his house for centuries in which we would encounter some surprises.

@iamraincrystal

Perhaps it's because I have been feeling disoriented that today's freewrite recommendations comes in later than usual...

@kaerpediem's freewrite resonated with me. I enjoy being on Steem and posting daily, but I have been slowing down since I started. Reading this FreeWrite || Disoriented makes me want to get my adrenaline pumping again! ^_^

This post from @mr-neil was amusing! It made me smile. That's a big thing since I just wrote a post that talked about processing sadness. Read this The Drawer That Has Been Stuck For Ages and be amused.

From the weekend freewrite, this from @deirdyweirdy is cool! I even laughed at some point. Read Gone. to know what I mean.

That's it for the week! I hope to work on my slacking and get right back on track. ^_^![]

@wakeupkitty

I recommend @myjob. She used the prompt iced coffee.
We use the word "ice coffee" instead and now I understand why.
@myjob tells about her life and this is the "drinking coffee" part. If you are the only one drinking coffee, what kinds would you drink? Instant coffee, no coffee, substitute for coffee or.. ice in your coffee or no coffee at all?
Read all about it here:

@fitinfun

My favorite of the week WAS the last installment of @deeanndmathews latest work, but while I was working on this she already posted another!

I am so inspired by our prolific freewriter and how she is able to get her stories to come out so well with the prompts. You can see her recaps and then plans at the top and bottom of each post.

And then to be so consistent too. I think this one will soon be for sale on Amazon and she will be on to the next.
I can only hope to get my act together like this. Goals!

@marblely

My favourite this week comes from @kaelci with the prompt "night shift":

because the story reminded me of the days when I was on night shift and it did suck big time. In my case, it wasn't a choice. @kaelci's story was very relatable and I like the humour that was inserted into the freewrite :)

Happy Friday from @carolkean!

Thanks @wakeupkitty - it was a challenge, putting this together in our daughter's apartment four hours from home, on Thanksgiving night. I was up until one a.m. Friday before I got all the logistics completed. I don't know how other Steemians accomplish so much in so much less time than it takes me - but I'm learning some shortcuts, and getting a little quicker at this. Oddly enough, the daughter's faster internet speed didn't make a big difference - it's the copy-paste-hyperlink aspect of Steemit that gets me. Our son, @mvkean saw the formatting codes and scoffed at how clumsy and primitive it is. Who came up with this system, and why are we still stuck with such cumbersome hashtags # and symbols for issuing < commands /> ?? I'm amazed I'm doing this at all, and kinda-sorta proud of myself for managing it, even if continue to accomplish/learn/use a tiny fraction of what other Steemians can do!

@carolkean Interesting that a faster internet does not make a difference..Now I feel less pathetic. According to my youngest those codes, also for Italian etc are still used WhatsApp and more. For some reason I think it is very oldfashioned on the blockchain and the blockchain is the only modern aspect. Some apps make it easier but I know the codes by head and type them.already in my text. Each link I change manual. Otherwise I can only read. I need a steemit.com link. Would it hep if we deliver our recommendation in plain text with steemit link?

Faster internet DOES help - sorry - but it didn't help ENOUGH - it still takes me a long time to get through the Favorites. No need for plain text, and it doesn't save much time to have the link spelled out. I can right-click on it and copy-paste in roughly the same time. I don't think there is any way to shorten this process - just to learn how to type faster, maybe, and yes, faster intenet speed would be fantastic. Those codes! Gaaaahhh!!! I think it's to weed out the Luddites. Sadly, Blockchain Boys and Babes, you didn't scare me off. ;)

@carolkean Sorry we can not help you do it faster. I have no idea how you do that with "click the image". You are more modern as I. Perhaps just a list with text and links or a top 10. It is a good thing we have you. Happy week. 😘💕

Thanks - @byn set a high standard, deftly highlighting each image in a black frame, something I've yet to figure out even with the coding, and she'd update the week # in the familiar graphic. I've already lowered the standards! Look at @kona with #dailypetphotography - every day he hyperlinks images AND produces graphics for winners. Ah to be young and tech savvy AND have fast internet. ;)

Sorry, I'm not even gonna try...:)

Thank you so much for the mention ... and yes, I will be working to get The Posture of Innocence to Amazon Kindle by Dec. 20, along with its NaNoWriMo sibling, The Field of Blood, Lord willing!

woot!! Looking forward to it - I just cannot keep up with reading one chapter a day via a computer. Give me one big document to read via my Kindle, and you got my attention. Make it an ebook where I can Share the Kindle Highlights - better yet!!!
You're an exceptionally talented writer and Steemit is blessed to have you here.

Your wish, my command -- here is Black, White, and RED All Over on Amazon Kindle, and look for The Posture of Innocence and The Field of Blood in three weeks (or thereabouts)! Of course, I won't make you look for it -- I'll post the links when they are available!
