A Construction worker vlogging comedian ? Only in Jamaica

(Edited)

I came across this YouTube channel where a construction worker has a vlog of himself being documented working on the site and his life loungings off site.

With 72.2k subs and average view on videos in the 100s of thousands, Bawdacat ( Border cat) has quite the audience. He even does endorsements for brands and commercials on the channel and on his Facebook page. On further diving I realized that they only started about 1 year ago.

There is no planned script or special props. Just the real life of a site worker and his friends. What sells or gets people’s attention is the comedy that Bawdacat delivers, even on the construction site, but you can tell it’s his personality. There is no show put on here.

Bawdacat will be on a Caribbean comedy show in Canada over the holidays. Now that is the power of consistency.

Thats a lot of following and thats also a lot of talent as not everyone is able to pull that off. Kudos to him.

It makes you realize anything is possible. Also team work makes things happen. I imagine this being the idea of the person behind the camera.

Woah, that’s a following and a half there. Could bawdacat be an avenue for RS to pursue for marketing perhaps ?

I thought about it , but would have to look at his audience deeper. These vloggers get a lot of views though so it makes sense to see what is possible.

Came across his video just this week and subscribed- a very sensible straight talking Jamaican. He was commenting on life overseas and the entitled spirit that some have in the Yawd who feel seh if yuh deh foreign life easy and you must send back yuh hard earned money.
