A Canadian Mercury?

avatar

My wife and I journeyed to Goleta, California, this past weekend to attend the Lemon Festival (missing our local Port Hueneme Banana Festival by doing so). We love the Banana Festival, but...lemon meringue pie! Oh, and lemon beer from local Goleta brewer M Special, a pale ale and a lager.

But, to the point of this colorful post, or should I spell colourful post, did you know that Ford-Lincoln-Mercury made cars in Canada? I didn't. I don't believe I've ever seen one until this 1950's Mercury Monarch with Alberta plates and a Canadian flag. It's a beautiful car and took "Best In Show."

Before I went overboard with the editing, it had a more orange, less red, color to it, so I'm posting it for #TuesdayOrange in the rainbow-colored day-of-the-week photography challenge created by @kalemandra.
