My First CleanPlanet Post as Well as My First Post On Palnet
Made it out to a local park today! We were at the same park last weekend and noticed some trash along the river bank and I have wanted to do a CleanPlanet Post for some time now. Yet work has got in the way of most things these days. I feel fortunate to have made it out for a walk today and here is some photos from along the way!
Found a good amount of trash including this stick with some caution tape and a rope around it. Might have been left over from the floods of 2013 here in Calgary and southern Alberta. Most of the trash was plastics and there was a good deal of smoke butts. This is a pretty well used park and I am sure the regular users have gotten most of the garbage. But I did get a good size bag.
There were lots of birds along the Bow River! Here is a photo of a group of White Pelicans. Sound have brought my better Camera. As the some on the smart phone is not great.

It was a nice walk and my eyes were focused down to the ground to find any small piece of trash. Which makes you notice all the wonderful flowers this time of year. Here are some of the best of them!
I think for my next CleanPlanet Post I might get out of a park and down by a more unused park of the river. I could likely bring a big black bag with me as I know there is a lot of garbage along this river. In the park people pick most of it up. Will see, hopefully I can make this a more regular thing.
