Antonio Vivaldi, Cantabile from Flute Concerto nr 3, RV 428

Antonio Vivaldi never was a composor of organ music. Yet some of his works lend themselfes perfectly for transcription for the organ. One of those pieces is the second movement of Vivaldi's third Flute Concerto, also known as "Il Gardellino".

This transcription is a bit of a solfeggio exercise for me. There is piano transcription available on IMSLP that is too much written for the piano to be used as a transcription for the organ. As reference I used a recording of Erik Simmons (this one: https://www.youtube.com/e.com/watch?v=apuWUGcH7yw). The recording and the piano transcription were leading for the harmonic layout in my transcription. And as I like the dotted rythms in the accompaniment in Erik Simmons's recording, I added a few more of them in my transcription.

I think the result is quite nice, and I hope you do too. I made two versions of the score: a compact one on one page, and a more spacious one on two pages.

The recording was done with the Hauptwerk software and the sampleset, made by Sonus Paradisi, of the Cavaillé-Coll organ in the St. Omer church in the city of St. Omer (http://www.sonusparadisi.cz/en/organs/france/st-om.html).
