I LIKE TO WATCH #21 - BuzzFeed Unsolved, True Crime

In these very troubled times, every once in awhile I like to consume some "light" fare on designated movie nights. At times, I've delved into documentaries, sci-fi, horror and anything with a Hobbit in it. But one of my favorite genres happens to be that good old standby, true crime.

One moody night, I was scrolling around looking for something interesting to watch and fell upon the series: BuzzFeed Unsolved, True Crime. Our hosts Shane Madej and Ryan Bergara, take us on a hilarious journey where they highlight strange goings-on about unsolved cases. A prime example of this high-weirdness in season 1, is the very strange death of Elisa Lam at the spooky Cecil Hotel. Which has a reputation as a place with a very dark past.

Remember D.B. Cooper who hijacked a plane, demanded money and was never found? Our feisty crime fighting duo take on the many loose ends of that caper as well. What I love about the show, is the playful banter between Shane and Ryan, which is almost an attraction unto itself. Many times they had me laughing out loud even while they were covering some pretty heavy stuff.

In season 2, The Axeman of New Orleans, will have you checking the windows at night, hoping that sneaky spectre isn't making your neighborhood his new stomping grounds. The baffling murder of Ken Rex McElroy, in front of dozens of witnesses, will have you wondering "who done it" while realizing that somebody out there knows exactly what happened.

This strange brew of light humor, mixed with cold blood, may be just what the doctor ordered on a sleepless night. So grab some snacks and a cold one. Double-check the windows and make sure the dog is nearby and settle down for a little mystery night. And whatever you do, if Shane and Ryan are nearby, make sure that YOU aren't the subject of the next: BuzzFeed Unsolved, True Crime!

Thank You So Much!

I love watching crimes and how they are solved a lot, and a lot of documentary films about that
It is indeed a little philosophical study of how a person will think under pressure and how he will think while he is not satisfied with himself
