Two hymns of Praise

The following 2 hymns were the opening and closing hymns from my church service today.

I'm a lifelong Christian. I grew up singing hymns and they are very comforting.
I enjoy worshipping God while singing them and also knowing that many times I am singing bible verses!
Note that on the closing hymn(Rejoice, The Lord is King) is based on Philippians 4:4.

We have in person church wearing masks(3 services every Sunday) and also our church service is live streamed for the 11 am service now.

For the last 3 weeks, I have participated by watching livestream at home.
I usually go in person and wear my mask, but this has been a nice break from that.

I will probably go in person next week in order to be able to take communion and hear the grandeur of the organ and all of the people singing together.

His Mercy Is More

What love could remember no wrongs we have done?
Omniscient, all knowing, He counts not their sum.
Thrown into a sea without bottom or shore,
Our sins, they are many; His mercy is more.

Chorus
Praise the Lord, His mercy is more.
Stronger than darkness, new ev’ry morn.
Our sins, they are many; His mercy is more.

What patience would wait as we constantly roam?
What Father, so tender, is calling us home?
He welcomes the weakest, the vilest, the poor.
Our sins, they are many; His mercy is more. Chorus

What riches of kindness He lavished on us.
His blood was the payment; His life was the cost.
We stood ‘neath a debt we could never afford.
Our sins, they are many; His mercy is more. Chorus

Rejoice, The Lord Is King

Rejoice, the Lord is King! Your Lord and King adore!
Rejoice, give thanks, and sing, and triumph evermore:

Refrain
Lift up your heart,
Lift up your voice! Rejoice, again I say, rejoice!

The Lord, our Savior, reigns,the God of truth and love;
When He had purged our stains, He took His seat above: Refrain

His kingdom cannot fail, He rules o’er earth and heav’n;
The keys of death and hell are to our Jesus giv’n: Refrain

Rejoice in glorious hope! Our Lord the Judge shall come
And take His servants up to their eternal home: Refrain
