No Idea For This Secret Santa Shit...
Tonight the wife and I are going to spend the evening with friends. We usually get together around this time of year, have some fun, and play a game designed around a secret Santa. Our buddy Bill created the game and it’s actually pretty fun. You start off with a set amount of tokens and a list of actions you can take regarding the gifts. Opening a gift is worth X tokens, stealing a gift is worth this many, passing is worth that many, and so on. Strategy and luck are involved and we had a blast last year with it...even though I ended up with my own gift which I was fine with considering it was $30 in Bitcoin which I just recently added to my stash. It was up to almost $50. Dummies...
Anyway, I have put absolutely 0 thought into this year’s gift and I have a few hours left. With my personal life being a drag as of late, I just wasn’t in the mood to even think about this. But now it’s here and I have to rush to get something. I’m thinking of just spending a few bucks on a shitty plastic decorative plant, and then getting $30 worth of lottery scratch offs to attach to it. A scratch off tree. Then putting it in a huge box so it’ll intrigue the hell out of everyone. Something like this...
It’s simple and easy and I think just due to the nature of the possibility of winning some moolah...it might be a sought after gift. What’s your thoughts? Any ideas?!? No gag gifts...something cool and practical.
Oh...we are also playing D&D tonight as well. Yeah it’s that group of nerdy friends. I didn’t want to get anything related to that as I think my wife did and half the players have a gazillion dice and all that shit already. I dunno....not really in the spirit this year but I have to come up with something. The first year I got $30 bucks in pennies from the back and wrapped it up. That was the stand out gift. Last year I did Bitcoin and nobody wanted it. This year, I am lost. If I can’t think of something in the next hour or so...lottery tree it is.
What fun yet practical gifts have you given for these types of get togethers?!?

A flashlight is always useful. OLight is good. There’s the EOS keychain type that goes for under 15 bucks. Get two, put them in a huge box and fill it with shipping paper, and fuck them. Lol
