The Lord will give you peace

It is surprising sometimes when I think of the peace I feel within in this troubling times where most people are frightened, worried, scared and fearful what tomorrow might bring. I have every reason to be scared too as everyone else given the fact that I still go to work too and ride public transportation too to top it all plus the contact I make with others too at work. Despite all these, the exposure and risks involved, I feel at peace within me and I am not worried at all. I have this assurance from within that nothing I am in safe hands.

This is how I have felt since the whole Covid-19 pandemic swept over the globe like a wild fire. I have remained calm, felt peace and not for once have I been worried about myself but only worry for my family, loved ones and the World in general. This feeling can only be divine and I believe this is the assurance and peace we have in Christ Jesus as believers. We are not moved by what we see or what happens around us. Our help is in the name of the Lord.

I don't put my trust in the what the World governments are doing to curb this pandemic down, my trust is all placed in Jesus and in him, I have confidence and peace that I am in safe hands. This is what Christ wants for every believer. We should take our eyes off what the news is saying, the figures, statistics etc and just channel that time and energy on Christ. I see so many Christians so worried and restless like people with no hope at all. I am even worried so many people out there will die of heart conditions,stress, anxiety, frustration and fear before the virus even gets to them.

That is what the enemy wants to see. He wants to instill fear, panicking and hopelessness in the people. We must not let his scheme succeed. We refuse to be moved, we refuse to let him steal our peace and joy. In everything, we will cry out, sing praises and give thanks to our God and he will hear our cry and come to our rescue. I have been so moved by the spiritual awakening that is going on in parts of the World and people suddenly turning to God and crying out to him. This is one positive thing that has come out of this dark time and the human race is finally realizing that there is a God and we do need him.

John 14:27
Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.

These are the words of the Lord for somebody my friends. Don't be afraid, don't be worried, don't panic at all. Remain under the banner of the Lord, in the shed of his love and peace you shall have in the midst of the storm. Jesus Christ is lying in your boat and if he be in your boat, the storm can hit it but that boat will never sink. And if you've not received him yet, now is a good time to do so. Why tarriest thou? Arise and go wash your sins and receive his gift of eternal life, peace and joy.
