All Things to All Men – 1 Corinthians 9:22

To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some.

I love this verse. This truly shows the heart that was beating in Paul. He wanted all to come to the Truth and he was willing to do whatever it took to reach out so all could see. He was ready to put self aside and put the gospel front and center at whatever cost.

The previous verses to this particular one shows he wasn’t prejudice in who he reached out to. It didn’t matter what your status was, where you came from, or what walk of life you had. Paul reached out to all.

Now we have to ask ourselves, who do we reach out to? Are we open to all? Are we prejudice in who we share the word with? I know that may sound kind of silly and I hope that it really is something silly to you. Just don’t let it come to a reality in your life. Everyone needs to hear the truth, even those people who we may struggle with.

Let this be a focus in your time of meditation throughout the day. Until next time, Shalom.

Howdy today sir simms50! I love that verse too, such a heart he had. What a great role model.

He really did have a heart for God's people, both those of Jewish blood and those that were not. Praise God that we were grafted into the commonwealth of Israel!

Ephesians 2:11-13 - "Therefore remember that you, once Gentiles in the flesh—who are called Uncircumcision by what is called the Circumcision made in the flesh by hands— 12 that at that time you were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope and without God in the world. 13 But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far off have been brought near by the blood of Christ."

And that reminded me of...

Romans 11:16-24 - For if the firstfruit is holy, the lump is also holy; and if the root is holy, so are the branches. 17 And if some of the branches were broken off, and you, being a wild olive tree, were grafted in among them, and with them became a partaker of the root and fatness of the olive tree, 18 do not boast against the branches. But if you do boast, remember that you do not support the root, but the root supports you.

19 You will say then, “Branches were broken off that I might be grafted in.” 20 Well said. Because of unbelief they were broken off, and you stand by faith. Do not be haughty, but fear. 21 For if God did not spare the natural branches, He may not spare you either. 22 Therefore consider the goodness and severity of God: on those who fell, severity; but toward you, goodness, if you continue in His goodness. Otherwise you also will be cut off. 23 And they also, if they do not continue in unbelief, will be grafted in, for God is able to graft them in again. 24 For if you were cut out of the olive tree which is wild by nature, and were grafted contrary to nature into a cultivated olive tree, how much more will these, who are natural branches, be grafted into their own olive tree?

Very powerful sir simms50. I've used verse 22 in asking Baptists who believe in the "Once saved, always saved doctrine" about it and they had no answer!
