Speculum ataca en el laberinto

En el siglo XIV, según la Asamblea General, era la última vez que se observo una criatura con tales características. Sin embargo para aquella época no represento ningún problema, jamás llego a asesinar a alguien, solo se tuvieron uno que otros miembros herido cuando intentaron neutralizarla. Se sabía bastante bien que esta criatura no pertenecía al mundo de los cristalinos, al parecer e laberinto también podía conectar con realidades alternas muy diferentes a las que Speculum solía utilizar para escapar de la justicia. Uno de los lideres de aquel entonces, no se atrevió a nombrar o calificar a esta criatura, ya que fue muy poco lo que pudieron ver de ella, solo adjuntaron algunos testimonios de las victimas más afectadas.

Quedaron enviarle una copia de estos documentos a los líderes actuales, la Asamblea General sabía que no serian de mucha ayuda, pero no era la primera vez que tenían que enfrentarse con un criatura jamás vista, en realidad el éxito de Speculum radica precisamente en su capacidad para adaptarse, para superar los problemas y sacarle provecho a cada nuevo situación que se enfrentasen, sin importar que tan buena o mala sea al comienzo. El paquete fue enviado con extrema urgencia y en pocas horas debía llegar al templo central, a las manos de cada uno de los líderes.

A Jonas le preocupaba profundamente la situación, no solo por el hecho de tener ya dos muertos, sino porque este acontecimiento alargaría irremediablemente el tiempo de espera, haciendo que el protocolo de infiltración se retrase y con él la estadía de la comunidad en el templo central, lo cual no era, por motivos de seguridad, para nada recomendado. El templo central siempre funciono como un templo alterno, de resguardo, temporal y a donde todos irían en caso de tener algún problema grave. Jamás debía ser usado como centro de operaciones y mucho menos proponer una estadía extremadamente larga en él. Todo esto se les escapa de las manos a los líderes.

A primera hora del día siguiente tuvieron el paquete en su sus respectivas oficinas. Se reunieron para leerlo a profundidad, y en menos de quince minutos llegaron la conclusión de que no había sido de ayuda, y que se estaban enfrentando solos a una criatura casi totalmente desconocida. Aceptaron el apoyo de la Asamblea General, quienes se comprometieron a enviarles algunos miembros altamente entrenados para pelear. Jonas, Lin y Frederick sabían muy bien en lo que consistían estos entrenamientos, pues ellos también habían tenido que superar aquellas difíciles pruebas.

Sin embargo ellos ahora son más que agentes especiales, al ser nombrado lideres, su papel en el juego es el de dirigir, tomar decisiones y llevar a toda la comunidad por el camino más exitoso, ya no tenían que pelear cuerpo a cuerpo todos los días con criaturas mortales. Decidieron bajar temprano al comedor, para informar a toda la comunidad las nuevas actualizaciones que tenían acerca de la criatura. Los ánimos seguían bastante bajos, no se escuchaban casi conversaciones en el comedor, el silencio estaba en el ambiente y la tensión desgarraba las gargantas de los miembros.

Afuera el panorama era distinto, el amanecer fue tajante, pero trajo consigo una mañana bastante alentadora. Los rayos del sol incidían directamente sobre las fuentes, y causaban una ilusión óptica que hacia lucir el agua de las mismas, como pequeños trozos de vidrio, todos prístinos, puros y brillantes como el diamante. La brisa hacia oscilar armónicamente las hojas de los arboles, y con ella se trasmitía el hermoso perfume de las flores adyacentes, haciendo que el jardín se sintiera como un lugar celestial, libre de contaminación y ruidos estresantes. Era el santuario de la meditación e introspección.

A pesar del clima tan relajante en el jardín, todos sabían, al ver el laberinto, que se escondía en él una criatura atroz. La sangre de sus dos víctimas no había podido ser limpiada, solo que su olor ahora era camuflado por el de las flores. Frederick fue una lo de los primeros en entrar al jardín ese día, de hecho tuvo que abrir la puerta, la cual permaneció cerrada desde el día anterior. Recibió a los miembros de apoyo en la parte posterior, eran varios unos 20 quizá, todos ellos armados con grandes maquinas de alto voltaje, las mismas que suelen utilizar para debilitar la coraza de los cristalinos.

Jonas observó el evento a través de uno de los vitrales del castillo, al ver que ya estaban todos listos con sus armas, llamo a Lin y se dispusieron a ir rápidamente al jardín. El plan estaba claro para todos, no era un plan organizado, pero tampoco improvisado. Solo tenían que entrar al laberinto y esperar a que la criatura aparezca, un vez la tengan en sus miran, iban a tratar de neutralizarla lo más rápido posible, aplicando para ello, los más altos voltajes que les permitieran sus armas. No aseguraban que la criatura fuera derrotada de inmediato, tampoco aseguraban la supervivencia de los 20 agentes, pero casi todos, incluyendo a los líderes, tenían la firme esperanza de que con los altos voltajes fuera suficiente para destruir a este mostro. Diez de ellos entraron por la entrada alfa, los otros por la entrada beta, caminaron lentamente por el laberinto, utilizando uno de los mapas de los Jonas. Estuvieron siempre atentos a cualquier movimiento extraño, esperaron más de una hora por alguna señal, hasta que lograron escuchar un fuerte rugido, que no solo los aturdió sino que movió el suelo de todo el templo.

However, at that time it did not represent any problem, I never get to murder someone, only had one that other members wounded when they tried to neutralize it. It was well known that this creature did not belong to the world of the crystalline ones, apparently the labyrinth could also connect with alternative realities very different from those that Speculum used to use to escape justice. One of the leaders of that time, did not dare to name or qualify this creature, as there was very little they could see of her, only attached some testimonies of the most affected victims.

They were left to send a copy of these documents to the present leaders, the General Assembly knew that they would not be of much help, but it was not the first time that they had to face a creature never seen before, in reality the success of Speculum lies precisely in its capacity to adapt, to overcome the problems and to take advantage of each new situation that they faced, no matter how good or bad it was at the beginning. The package was sent with extreme urgency and within a few hours was to reach the central temple, in the hands of each of the leaders.

Jonas was deeply concerned about the situation, not only because he already had two dead, but because this event would irremediably lengthen the waiting time, causing the infiltration protocol to be delayed and with it the community's stay in the central temple, which was not, for security reasons, recommended at all. The central temple always functioned as an alternate temple, shelter, temporary and where everyone would go in case of a serious problem. It was never to be used as a center of operations and much less to propose an extremely long stay in it. All of this escapes the leaders' hands.

Early the next day they had the package in their respective offices. They met to read it in depth, and in less than fifteen minutes came to the conclusion that it had not been helpful, and that they were facing alone an almost totally unknown creature. They accepted the support of the General Assembly, who pledged to send them some highly trained members to fight. Jonas, Lin and Frederick knew very well what these trainings consisted of, as they had also had to overcome those difficult trials.

Their role in the game is to lead, make decisions and lead the whole community down the most successful path, they no longer had to fight body to body with mortal creatures every day. They decided to go down to the dining room early, to inform the entire community of the new updates they had on the creature. The spirits were still quite low, there were almost no conversations in the dining room, the silence was in the air and the tension was tearing the throats of the members.

Outside the panorama was different, the sunrise was sharp, but it brought with it a rather encouraging morning. The rays of the sun struck directly on the fountains, and caused an optical illusion that made the water of the fountains shine, like small pieces of glass, all pristine, pure and bright as diamond. The breeze harmoniously swayed the leaves of the trees, and with it was transmitted the beautiful scent of the adjacent flowers, making the garden feel like a heavenly place, free of pollution and stressful noises. It was the sanctuary of meditation and introspection.

In spite of the relaxing climate in the garden, everyone knew, when they saw the labyrinth, that an atrocious creature was hiding in it. The blood of his two victims had not been cleaned, only that its smell was now camouflaged by that of the flowers. Frederick was one of the first to enter the garden that day, in fact he had to open the door, which remained closed since the previous day. He received the support members in the back, there were several about 20 perhaps, all of them armed with large high-voltage machines, the same ones they usually use to weaken the shield of the crystalline ones.

Jonas observed the event through one of the stained glass windows of the castle, seeing that they were all ready with their weapons, called Lin and set out to go quickly to the garden. The plan was clear to everyone, it was not an organized plan, but it was not improvised either. They only had to enter the labyrinth and wait for the creature to appear, once they have it in their eyes, they were going to try to neutralize it as quickly as possible, applying the highest voltages that their weapons would allow. They did not assure that the creature would be defeated immediately, nor did they assure the survival of the 20 agents, but almost everyone, including the leaders, had the firm hope that with the high voltages it would be enough to destroy this mostro. Ten of them entered through the alpha entrance, the others through the beta entrance, walked slowly through the labyrinth, using one of the Jonas maps. They were always attentive to any strange movement, waited more than an hour for some signal, until they managed to hear a loud roar, which not only stunned them but moved the floor of the entire temple.
