Los pasos se sentían cada vez más cerca, hacían retumbar el suelo bajo sus pies, el cristal que los componía trasmitía muy bien las vibraciones, haciendo que cada uno de los miembros se enterase de su presencia. La luz proveniente de la misteriosa piedra impacto sobre cada uno de los pilares de cristal que se encontraban a su alrededor, y sin esperarse la luz nunca se volvía tenue, mantenía su intensidad, se dispersaba poco y conservaba su identidad de haz. Mientras cada uno de los haces emitidos lograban iluminar cada uno de los pilares, las criaturas se acercaron velozmente a sus víctimas.

Cada uno de los miembros encendió sus armas de alto voltaje, pelearon hasta el final para poder destruir la gran carcasa cristalina que los protegía. Muchos de ellos fueron derrotados, de forma bastante sangrienta, los filosos cristales que se encontraban en las extremidades de las criaturas, eran capaces de atravesar con facilidad los cráneos humanos, aun cuando era posible ver al miembro vivo, podían respirar unas cuantas veces, pero terminaban muriendo de forma violenta a manos de estos seres. Todo pelearon con gran valentía, ninguno se quedo mirando, incluso los miembros de más alto rango aprovecharon sus armas especiales, las cuales podían ser utilizadas a largas distancias, con las cuales pudieron proteger a los demás miembros y cubrirlos en caso de que fueran atacados de forma inesperada

Las luces estaban llegando a su máximo esplendor, pero aun se podían observar extremidades humanas volando por el aire. El festín que estaban haciendo las criaturas de cristal era digno de considerarse uno de los escenarios de carnicerías más perturbadores que se podían ver. En ocasiones algunos de los miembros de rango bajo, miraban desesperadamente a sus líderes, pidiendo que los sacaran de aquel horrible lugar. Al parecer abrir el portal que les permitiría escapar tomaba algunos minutos, no podían hacer nada más que pelear intensamente.

El miembro más protegido era el que sostenía la piedra de donde se emitían todos los haces, nada le podía pasar, nada lo podía interrumpir, era precisamente él, el encargado de abrir el portal, de sostener la piedra a la altura adecuada y con la luz incidente especifica. Si no llegara a cumplir su misión, era de esperarse para cada uno de miembros que la muerte representaba una realidad inmediata inevitable. En uno de sus descuidos, uno de los cristalinos saltó rápidamente por encima de los líderes de rango medio, iba directo hacia el miembro de la piedra, corriendo a toda velocidad y preparando su extremidad con el cristal mas afilado, estaba apuntando directamente a su cuello.

Jonas estaba cubriendo el ataque de unos cristalinos a 3 de los miembros nuevos, con su arma de largo alcance evitaba que los alcanzara y les permitía a sus discípulos defenderse eficazmente. De repente voltea, y observa que el miembro de la piedra esta en total peligro, y sin pensarlo mucho ni reflexionar en nada mas que no sea la apertura del portal, utilizo la máxima potencia de su arma para alejar al cristalino que se disponía a atacarlo. Tuvo que dispararle varias veces, haciéndolo retroceder cada vez más lejos del miembro de la piedra. Al volver a su posición inicial, intento buscar su objetivo inicial nuevamente, pero en su lugar se encontró con el cadáver de los tres discípulos que estaba ayudando inicialmente.

Los haces siguieron impactando en cada uno de los grandes cristales, hasta que la luz se disperso de forma rápida y homogénea, era la señal perfecta para que todos se enterara que el viaje ya estaba comenzando. Al ver dicha manifestación de luz, los cristalinos decidieron marcharse, algunos arrastrando los cadáveres que tenia accesible, dejando en muchos casos una gran línea de sangre sobre el piso. Lamentablemente no todos eran cadáveres, algunos aun seguían con vida y gritaban fuertemente en busca de auxilio.

Estando todos en posición, aguantando el dolor de sus heridas, y el de los recuerdos de los acontecimientos que acaban de ver, se concentraron, cerraron los ojos y esperaron para abrirlo en un lugar mejor. Jonas por su parte, parecía calmado, no era la primera vez que tenía que pasar por esto. Por el contrario los nuevos, estaban temblando de miedo, algunos incluso no pararon de llorar y otros simplemente no podían ni moverse producto del shock emocional que estaban viviendo. Una vez completado el viaje y sintiendo los mismo síntomas que todos al menos una vez habían sentido, se ubicaron en un lugar llego de arbustos, todos formando una gran pared y cortados de forma exactamente rectangular.

– “Ya estamos a salvo, entiendo perfectamente lo que sienten en este momento, luego de pelear con criaturas que hasta hace poco eran inimaginables para nosotros, de ver morir violentamente a varios de nuestros compañeros y de deambular por una realidad alterna lo suficientemente desgarradora como para dudar de nuestra cordura; todo eso yo también lo viví. Quiero decirles en primera instancia que están a salvo, todos los estamos en este momento. No seremos atacados acá, así que pueden guardar sus armas.”, dijo Jonas mientras acomodaba su vestimenta y procedía a caminar lentamente alrededor de los arbustos.

– “Esto es un laberinto, de baja complejidad, solo debemos salir de él. He caminado por sus pasillos varias veces, solo tienen que seguirme. Una vez estemos fuera, podremos descansar sin ninguna interrupción; se que han sido días difíciles para todos. Al salir, se encontraran también con uno de los secretos mayor guardados de nuestra sociedad, hoy cada uno de ustedes, se convertirán en discípulos de confianza, de rango intermedio. Serán capaces de conocer la sede principal de Speculum como sociedad viajera ínterdimensional.” Expresó Jonas mientras caminaba hacia la salida.

The lights were reaching their maximum splendor, but you could still see human limbs flying through the air. The feast that the crystal creatures were making was worthy of being considered one of the most disturbing carnage scenarios that could be seen. Occasionally some of the lower-ranking members looked desperately at their leaders, asking to be removed from that horrible place. Apparently opening the portal that would allow them to escape took a few minutes, they could do nothing but fight intensely.

The most protected member was the one who held the stone from where all the beams were emitted, nothing could happen to him, nothing could interrupt him, he was precisely the one in charge of opening the portal, of holding the stone at the proper height and with the specific incident light. If he did not fulfill his mission, it was to be expected for each member that death represented an inevitable immediate reality. In one of his carelessness, one of the crystalline jumped quickly over the mid-ranking leaders, went straight to the member of the stone, running at full speed and preparing his limb with the sharpest crystal, was pointing directly at his neck.

Jonas was covering the attack of the crystalline ones to 3 of the new members, with his long-range weapon he prevented him from reaching them and allowed his disciples to defend themselves effectively. Suddenly he turns and observes that the member of the stone is in total danger, and without thinking much about it or reflecting on anything other than the opening of the portal, he used the maximum power of his weapon to drive away the crystalline that was about to attack him. He had to shoot him several times, making him retreat further and further away from the limb of the stone. When he returned to his initial position, he tried to find his initial objective again, but instead he found the corpse of the three disciples he was initially helping.

The beams continued to impact each of the large crystals, until the light dispersed quickly and homogeneously, it was the perfect signal for everyone to know that the journey was already beginning. On seeing this manifestation of light, the crystalline ones decided to leave, some dragging the corpses that they had accessible, leaving in many cases a great line of blood on the floor. Unfortunately they were not all corpses, some were still alive and shouted loudly for help.

Being all in position, enduring the pain of their wounds, and that of the memories of the events they have just seen, they concentrated, closed their eyes and waited to open it in a better place. Jonas, for his part, seemed calm, it wasn't the first time he had to go through this. On the contrary, the new ones were trembling with fear, some did not even stop crying and others simply could not move because of the emotional shock they were living. Once they had completed the journey and felt the same symptoms that everyone had felt at least once, they placed themselves in a place of bushes, all forming a large wall and cut into exactly rectangular shapes.

– "We are safe now, I understand perfectly what they feel at this moment, after fighting with creatures that until recently were unimaginable to us, of seeing several of our companions die violently and of wandering through an alternate reality that is heartbreaking enough to doubt our sanity; all that I also experienced. I want to tell you in the first instance that you are safe, we are all safe at this moment.
