Twitch Bans Trump For "Hateful Conduct" + A Variety Of Well-known Content Creators Get Purged From YouTube

Regardless of what each of us thinks about Trump as a politician or a person based on his public life, I think it would be a major victory to get Trump himself and Trump-supporting conservatives to adopt 3speak.online or any other suitable Hive-based social media app as their social media platform of choice.

In other news, not only is Stefan Molyneux but David Duke (the white supremacist, I presume) and Richard Spencer have been banned by YouTube.

Now, I for one, do not condone supremacism of any kind. But it would certainly be interesting if any such well-known figure with highly controversial views were to adopt Hive and bring their followers over. That would generate massive publicity for the platform and fuel unprecedented speculative interest in the token.

NB: I have followed Stefan Molyneux some years ago and he did not strike me as a supremacist of any kind then, which goes on to show the kind of broad strokes censors on mainstream social media platforms paint various types of content as "hate speech".

It's a great proposal, especially for the platform and somehow it would be a great success for the blockchain

molyneux was on steem, and left . Same with styxhexenhammmer666.

Their followers alone would increase the active users on this platform by approx 60 times! lol

(styx is everywhere on alt - but hasn't come back 'here')

As to what you write in your post you gave a link to, my response from a personal perspective is this. I've always done on Steem/Hive what I do on every other social media platform I've been on: talk about stuff that interests me and also post photos. I've just moved that activity to this platform where there are crypto rewards instead of no rewards.

I've been at it for three years now. I've got the following and rewards I have because I've been consistently active. Each time I took a break from Steem, I found myself gravitating to other platforms and later asking myself why I was doing that without "mining" crypto while at it. What I do is a compulsion and monetizing it here is really about damage control, and as far as I can tell there is nothing better than Hive in existence at the moment.

Now, ANYONE like myself could've done what I have done. What I will never understand is that a mediocre and boring content creator like myself would not simply migrate to Hive from, say, Facebook where he shoots shit with their friends all day. They could do THE EXACT SAME THING here instead of Facebook. It would be much better for them here than on Facebook. In fact, I asked some of my friends who were on Facebook to join me here three years ago. They didn't come. I will never get that.

This is like Usenet News I was active on in the 1990's but with rewards worth money. It's really that simple from a user's point of view. Those who overthink this will left empty handed.

Maybe the HIVE rewards and the reach aren't good enough for Molyneux but someone who could never earn a living by creating content for millions of people preferring, say, 3speak.online over YouTube would be a no-brainer. Vanishingly few people will ever earn $5 per video on YouTube. It's incredibly hard. You need to do it for years, rack up 4000 hours of views put together and have thousands of views per video.

There are so few users on 3speak.online that earning $5 with amateur level content is not that hard. Of course, you can't live on such rewards but as a side income that's very nice for a hobby that you'd enjoy engaging in anyway.

$HIVE has value because it's listed on major cryprocurrency exchanges. Speculators will trade it against Bitcoin. That is the true source of its value.

Of course, if I were prone to strongly resent the early miners and witnesses and other early adopters on this platform who earn much more than I do, I wouldn't be here. Or maybe I would, criticizing it in all sorts of unconstructive ways. But the fact remains that I'm incapable of starting a platform like this or better from scratch and making it succeed. So I have to take the best that I can get. I can live with a mental image of all the lobsters and caviar all the big shots here must be eating all day. The circuits in my brain that are responsible for envy must be dead.

To not use Hive if you're an amateur content creator as uninteresting to a large number of people as myself instead of a mainstream platform is simply fucking stupid from a financial point of view. That's a FACT.

Now, you may ask whether or not it is "ethical" to exact an 8% annual toll from speculative traders who wish to increase their BTC stack using HIVE as a vehicle. The fact is that these speculators do not care. What they see is massive volatility that completely dwarfs the 8% annual token inflation on Hive. They're completely fine with it. I'm not complaining, either. It's a win-win. It's ridiculous to prefer Facebook to this and that's that.

Molyneux is on Hive.

https://peakd.com/@stefan.molyneux

You're right in that he stopped posting at around the birth of Hive. His account is there and he's got all the keys. I'm surprised how active he was. Stefan needs to be encouraged to continue.

Hell, had I known he was on Steem I would've followed and engaged him!
