Looking Back/ Look Forward SBI Contest #6 - #ccc 2.02

Hello friends :)

The point of this contest is to write a post following the #ccc rules about something that you either enjoyed doing over the past week, or are looking forward to doing in the coming week.

I know that this is a little more in-depth than normal SBI giveaway contests, but part of the point of #ccc is to generate good content on the Steem platform.

Here is my response as an example of what I am looking for.

For this coming week, I am a little nervous, but also looking forward to packing up everything to go back home to Portland. I’ve been living in Budapest for around 9 months now, and it is going to be quite nice to be going home. Plus, I’ll be staying for about a week prior in Cairo, so it’ll be a nice end to this time here.

I think part of the reason I am happy to be heading home is to see my friends and family. This is my first real time that I have been away from them for an extended period. I have lived on my own, but always in the same city so it’s not like I didn’t see them fairly often. I also am happy to be leaving this apartment that I’ve been staying in. I think that this place has been the cause of a lot of my frustrations living here. So little is set up well for existence, it’s just a giant, poorly designed box. I have been managing, but man it will be so nice to have my own bed, a good shower, a good desk, a functional bathroom, and a kitchen sink that doesn’t hurt my back. I know that so many people have it so much worse in the world than I do, so I am trying to feel gratitude towards the living conditions, but honestly I am so looking forward to not living in this space anymore that I have to wonder how much stress I have been holding in about it.

I’m going to be trying to spend this final week doing some more tourist things in the city. Maybe that will help leave a better impression of it for me. I don’t know. I had an enjoyable time yesterday with my adventures.

There are so many fountains here apparently. It’s odd, as they weren’t really running earlier in the year. I guess that makes sense, they probably turn them on during summer.

Hopefully I’ll see some more interesting things in the coming week as I prepare to leave.

Well sort of? We also stayed all of spring. I don't know why, but I found it daunting to go out often. I guess all of the smokers was part of the reason. I really dislike having to be around that.

Appics is an app you post a picture, choose the category and the tags, add a line and send. So a very fast way of posting on Steem.

Oh, alright. Thank you, that is much appreciated :) I also seem to sometimes have issues with keychain, for some transfers it seems quite delayed. Hopeful it's just a minor network speed issue and not something up with the software.

I am glad that you liked them. Budapest does have a lot of cool stuff, just definitely not my ideal place.

Egypt has been really cool so far. I definitely recommend going in winter though, it is soooo hot. Manageable though haha.

Thank you :) I don't really know if I will miss it. I kind of lean towards no. Aside from my time doing capoeira, very little of my Budapest experience was all that noteworthy. I don't really plan to ever. It was very expensive to get over here.
