Papaya...

Papaya, a healthy fruit and is widely available in tropical climate regions such as Asia. It happen to be one of my favourite fruits too, especially the kind that is just ripe enough in orange colour, sweet and juicy as you bite into them. It is easy to eat and I like the taste. But, I do not like papaya that is overly ripe that is too soft and mushy.

I usually have them for breakfast along with watermelon, my other favourite fruit to eat. I would cut them into bite sized pieces that is easy to eat using a fork.

Papaya is said to be a good source of antioxidants, has anti cancer properties and helps with digestion. Source: Healthline. And one of the reasons I like papaya is because it does help with my digestion, although eating a little too much of it will cause my skin to be a little yellow, especially visible on my palm.

Sometimes, I blend papaya with other fruits to make a smoothie:

I tried papaya salad too and they usually use partially raw papayas to get the crunchy texture. The taste is an explosion of spicy, sweet, sour, salty and everything in one bite with bits of crunchy peanuts, a popular appetizer dish in Thailand:

There is also the picked papayas, sweet and sour with a hint of chili, usually made from firm papayas, bottled in a jar.

I also grow papaya from its seeds, usually from a papaya that I liked eating. I would throw the seeds into the soil and let them grow. They grow very fast. I absolutely love the shape of papaya leaves which to me look really arty.

Last year, I gave my papaya plant some googlyeyes, joined the googlyeyes contest and won third prize :)

I couldn't get my papaya plant to fruit because I live in an apartment and the papaya plant could only grow to a certain size due to the constraints of space. So, I passed the plant to my brother who has a garden and the plant is now starting to fruit!

Hola @marblely.

Hi @marblely. You sowed papaya !! that good. You will eat fruits soon from your own tree. Although it is in another garden. hehehe.
Yes, the fruit is very manageable. Serve both green and ripe. I like to eat it for breakfast, with a little lemon juice. And in sweet it is very tasty.

Sí, sí, ¡las papayas dulces son tan sabrosas! Acabo de comer un poco: D
Jeje, espero que el árbol de papaya continúe floreciendo en el jardín de mi hermano y pronto podamos tener papayas gratis para comer. :)

Yes yes, sweet papayas are soooo tasty! I just had some for lunch :D
Hehe yah, I hope the papaya tree will continue to fluorish in my brother's garden and soon we can have free papayas to eat! :)

Lo veré seguro en alguna publicación tuya cuando empieces a comer de tus propios productos orgánicos. Es estupendo. @marblely.

I will see it for sure in some publication of yours when you start eating your own organic products. It's great @marblely.

You do not have cold winters you can grow a tropical plant?
If you ask me every fruit is healthy, at least they say it is.
I loved reading it. Your mushy papaya @hearbeat1515 might like or is good for papaya sauce (instead of applesauce) or perhaps jam?
