Today is 10.23.19

📬 📯 Today is a very special day - 45 years ago.

📬 📯 I went to walk the mall with my wife in the evening and after about an hour, we started to leave.

As we get to the entrance of Macy's from the Memorial City Mall in Houston, Texas, my wife told me that she saw a $5 U.S. dollar note on the ground - someone lost it - just as a young couple saw it also and the husband pointed to it while the wife picked it up. My wife said that she saw it first but hesitated to try to pick it up. I said to her that if I had seen it first and picked it up, I would have waited there for someone to come looking for his/her lost $5 U.S. dollar - my guess was that a child must have lost it and it would have meant the world to him/her. We continued to walk to our car in the parking lot. Two traffic lights and just a few minutes across the I-10 freeway, we arrived at the 99 Ranch Market.

We just needed some soybean milk and some eggs. I let my wife off at the entrance of the store and then went to park my car. It was a little past 7 p.m. and it was dark. There was plenty of parking but I did not choose the spot nearest to the store but two spots further between to spots that each had a shopping cart in the spot [I did not know what would happen next or I would have taken a picture of the spot].
I had acquired a habit of solving a parking problem at store parking lots where someone had left a shopping cart that blocks a nice space by taking the shopping cart into the store; so I did - I unblocked the parking spot next to where I parked, but closer to the store. It was dark then.

When I found my wife in the store and glanced at the shopping cart, I saw this -

dangling from the top "shelf" of the shopping cart❗

What are the odds of finding a lost $5 U.S. dollar❓ For me, it's like NEVER❗

And, finding it twice❓❗

NEVER❗ NEVER❗

And, finding two of the same amount within minutes❓❗

NEVER❗ NEVER❗ NEVER❗

I don't know about you, but I do not believe in "pure coincidences" - I believe it's God's way to remain annonymous❗

I believe that there is a message in this❗

Not to mean anything by this but just stating the fact, but $5 is an insignificant sum of money to me but I am sure that it might be a lot of money to someone in need and I am mindful of this and would do what I can to return the lost money.

For now, the message seems to be approval of my thoughts and attitude towards money that someone has lost.
