Cannabis chronicles #22, buds on the Blue Dream

avatar

Hello, and welcome to my page!

I've been watching the buds starting to develop on my Blue Dream plant for the past couple of weeks now, and they seem to be developing nicely. I wanted to see if I could get a few pictures of them with my camera. My camera is not the best for close up work, but it's all I have available to take pictures with, so I keep trying to get good close ups with it. I'm using a tripod to make up for the slower shutter speeds with the lower light in the greenhouse.

This is one of the side branches on the Blue Dream plant. The central branches are harder to photograph close up because they're so tall.

After taking that picture, I did a bunch of leaf trimming on the plant to remove the large leaves and the yellowing leaves. After that, I tried another picture of the same branch. You can see the buds developing along the nodes on the branch. I'm sure these buds have a long way to go before they're mature, but they seem to be developing nicely.
As you can see in the background of the picture, I still have a lot of trimming to do on the plant.

This is a different side branch. This picture actually turned out pretty well.

I tried to do a bit of creative editing on the previous picture to better highlight the developing buds. I think the editing came out pretty well, other than the fine focus which I couldn't do anything about.

Here's a picture of the Blue Dream plant after a fair amount of leaf removal. It's a bit hard to see because of the background light. I haven't figured out a good angle to use to get better pictures of the plant, perhaps I should try it in the evening with the flash.

As part of my on-going experiments with the plants, I had some of the previous trim drying in the greenhouse for a while to see if it has any potency at all. I put a bit of the leaf matter from the Blue Dream trim into the bowl of my new bong and took a couple of hits from it. I'm a real lightweight when it comes to THC, so take this for what it's worth, but I did get a slight buzz from the trimmed leaves. Considering that I don't like to get reckt anymore, this slight buzz was quite nice and mellow for me. Just enough of a buzz to relax me, but not enough to destroy my motivation for the evening. I'm going to be continuing to keep and dry the big leaves from the plant as I trim them off, as long as they're still green. I don't know if the leaves retain any of their cannabanoids as they get yellow and die.

Well, that's all I have for this episode of cannabis chronicles, thanks for stopping by to check it out!
