A Super Sepia Saturday

Hello friends!

Let's take a step back into time, and see how Surfside Beach may have looked maybe 50, 75 or more years ago...

That warm salty surf is so inviting.

The ubiquitous palm tree!

Ah yes the Salt Life is calling my name!

This last shot I add some graininess to it. I kind of like it along with the vignetting.

Thanks for stopping by!

All words and images are mine and can be also found on my various social media sites. Now I must add that some of the shots I steal from my son Ben @silver314 , but I feed him so he can sue me lol.

Wowsers, the graininess and vignetting really make that last shot uber cool! However, I think my favorite of this awesome bunch is the one with the umbrellas - totally gives me a 1950s vibe. Nicely done, as always, @old-guy-photos and thanks so much for hosting this tag.

I feed you, so I'm allowed to steal some of your photos
ha ha ha
Oh that is priceless.
I love this post, but I would like to ask something.
I've been very ill for a couple of day, not even turning on my pc since
Wed until yesterday. I went to my feed, clicked on "See all tags"(looking
For something Saturday Specific) and I didn't find ANYTHING that
I could have used as a tag for the day.
Now I find "sepiasaturday" I love it but I feel left out now.
Darn it.
Post upvoted @old-guy-photos! Steem on!

Man, do I wish I could make it to the beach! It's even more inviting than usual in that lovely sepia tone! I'm going to get back there one of these days... :)

Classic blast from the past photos. You are so good at this. Where is Sulfide beach? Or is it an OGP made up name. (I looked it up, but all I got was the smell of beaches from Sulfide gas and phytoplankton....). Love the sepia look, as we now know, and how you do the vignetting, or however it might be spelled. But it adds a lot to the image 'oldness' of today. Cheers on a Sunday

No, no not "Sulfide" Beach! LOL That would sound a bit too stinky! This is Surfside Beach in SC. It is actually right down from Myrtle Beach, but is the more boring and family friendly beach lol.

Have a great week ahead, my friend!

Ha haa, did I misread that, or did you change it? Think I may need glasses on this machine. Started me reading all sorts of stuff about Sulfides in Wikipedia. Oh, the paths we wander down.
