Taking a Day Off

With so much going on in my career and personal life, I often look for a day to relax and disconnect to center myself before starting all over again. Unfortunately, it has been a while I have been able to do so with everything happening. Work continues to add to my load as we get closer to key deliverables for year end reporting and planning for the year in progress as challenges to continuing delivering growth and profitability in the business landscape is challenging.

On the personal side, it is crazy to say that we have offers on our home after only days of putting it on the market. Great news for our objectives but adds pressure to now look for our new home in the coming days. It seems as one of those experiences that you expect to have time to adjust to but comes so quickly that you are caught off guard. With so much to consider with the next couple of weeks, the time to relax is well off the radar.

However, I told the family that maybe we will take a quick vacation in the coming months as we get through the process which has been stressful for them. Luckily, we are a close family that does everything together so we are supporting each other everyday with the thought that this will lead to a better future. While some debates have ensued, we talk the dive together and seek objectives together.

A short reflection today but look forward to getting back to the daily grind in the days to come. I will certainly have more stories to share with the adventure that the family is looking forward to!
