Full moon last night! Musing about Mini Ice Age, พระจันทร์เต็มดวงเมื่อคืนนี้ ทำให้กลัวว่าอนาคตจะยากลำบาก

Last night, I was woken up by the moonlight which streamed through my window. The night was quite chilly but I had to check out the full moon. To my surprise the sky was clear and the moon was very bright; she dominated the dark blue sky. The time was around 3am.

My iPhone was not quite how to focus on the dark sheet of background. At that moment I wish I had a nice camera but this was more challenging; taking photos half awake making it felt sleeping walking. This year, the weather seems to have transformed our consciousness about changing future weather and lifestyle. I have started to see heavy winter clothes in shopping malls. At first, I thought these were for those who went on skiing holidays in Korea and Japan or even in Europe; cheap package tours have made it possible for a weekend skiing holiday in Asian countries.

I found it tricky trying to get the iPhone to focus on the moon. I have been warning my gardener that little Ice Age is coming and that global warming has been a hoax to control and tax people to poverty by powerful Westerners or capitalists. I even gifted her family with a good water-heating machine as they were on sale once in a blue moon. It’s quite difficult to discuss what’s really been happening behind the scene with Thai friends who have not spent time reading and doing further research. But I continue to give warnings with the hope that some might start to investigate on what I had discussed.

We have started to see the impact of changing weather cycle in our garden including the changing timing of rainy season this year. I always give my gardener reasons for my plan on growing plants on the land. We would need both hard wood and fire woods in the medium term. We also agreed to have a ground well next year. This means I have to get extra part-time work to raise the money. Running a start-up farm is very costly and time consuming; but we have to plan for future survival in case there happened to be a bad melt down in the future. When I told my gardener that there would be lots of demonstrations and riots in the future as poor people could no longer service their debts and they would have no money to buy food. Suddenly, my gardener went into emotional response that the government did not help the poor at all and they might run out patience soon. I told her I was aware of that fact and it would be silly to expect politicians to care about poor people. That’s why I have to start a self-sufficiency farm which could help people in need of food in the future. Say, if there’s a melt down in the financial world, bank runs and riots would certainly ensue; I expect several friends and family members to run for cover on my farm! So, we need bamboo for food, fuel and make-shift shelters, bananas and fruit trees too. We could swap some of our stuff for local rice! I’ll have to start my organic chickens and eggs later next year too. Food and protein shortages would become a challenging problem for government next year. This is a good source on food shortage

เมื่อคืนนี้พระจันทร์เต็มดวง อากาศเย็นเหมือนนอนอยู่ในตู้เย็นหรือบนหิมะ เราตื่นนอนตอนกลางดึก เพราะแสงจันทร์ส่องเข้ามาทางช่องที่หน้าต่าง เราก็ลองไปเดินไปดูพระจันทร์ว่าสว่างแค่ไหน. ท้องฟ้าใสมากไม่มีเมฆเลย พระจันทร์เต็มดวงสว่างไสวไปทั่วท้องฟ้า เราก็ลองใช้ไอโฟนมาถ่ายรูปตอนกลางคืน เราเจอปัญหาการโฟกัส ไม่มีความเสถียรเลย ก็ลองเล่นถ่ายรูปดู อากาศหนาวมาเร็วมากปีนี้ และหน้าฝนก็เริ่มต้นเร็ว แต่ฝนมาไม่นานก็หยุดไป ทำให้หน้าแล้งมาเร็วมาก นี่เป็นการเตือนว่า เราจะมีวิกฤตเรื่องขาดน้ำในอนาคต คงจะมีการแย่งชิงน้ำด้วย

คนไทยส่วนใหญ่ไม่มีเวลาติดตามข่าวทางเลือกในต่างประเทศ จึงหลงเขื่อและถูกมอมเมาให้หลงเชื่อสื่อกระแสหลัก โดยไม่ใช้ความคิดวิเคราะห์ และหาข้อมูลเองเลย ในอนาคตอาหารจะขาดแคลน เนื่องจากสภาวะอากาศที่เป็นไปตามวงรอบของจุดดับบนพระอาทิตย์ รอบเล็กเรียกว่า ยุคน้ำแข็งแบบมินิ วงรอบใหญ่จะเกิดการเปลี่ยนแปลงทางอากาศทุก400ปี. ซึ่งเป็นสาเหต แห่งการล่มสลายของอาณาจักรจีนในแต่ละยุค และการล่มสลายของอาณาจักรโรมันหลายยุค เพราะความหนาวมาแทนที่ความร้อน การเพาะปลูกจะล้มเหลว ข้าวยากหมากแพง โรคระบาดจะทำให้คนตายมากมาย เราตามอ่านและดูข่าวทางเลือกมาหลายปี คนที่มีความรู้เท่าทันก็เริ่มเตรียมปรับตัวและ เตรียมการรับมือกับความสับสนไร้ระเบียบ เมื่อระบบการเงินทั่วโลกเริ่มล่มสลาย. เราจึงคิดว่าเศรษฐกิจพอเพียง ที่ในหลวงรัชกาลที่9 ทรงคิดและเผยแพร่จะเป็นทางรอดของคนในสังคมไทย ที่ใช้ปัญญาในการหาทางออกที่ดีที่สุดในยามคับขัน
