Boulder Sunday-Wild River Boulders

#BoulderSunday is hosted by @shasta who rocks this challenge! Come join in with your favorite big rock photos!

While traveling the Bear tooth Highway from Cooke City, Montana to Red Lodge, Montana I took several photos of the river that parallels the road.

The Clark's Fork of the Yellowstone has plenty of boulders!

And these Boulder photos even include a mountain view for

What beautiful scenery with the tall trees and the running water rushing through and over the many boulders. The mountain is a perfect backdrop too. Relaxing photos Melinda. : )

Nice photos of the creek. It looks like a pretty small one, at least in the area you were at. Does it get big enough to kayak in further downstream?

I was out at the state park this weekend and had to take this photo for you, since I always see your "boulder sunday" contributions :-)

Great looking Boulder! I think they do some whitewater kayaking there when the river is running high after snow melt. I was there in early September.

What a gorgeous place @melinda010100! Awesome how you
captured the mountains and boulders together! So rugged and wild!
Nicely rounded over the ages, just think how many gallons of water
it takes to round them off lol Montana and Wyoming are such
beautiful states! Love that fork in the river! :-)

a nice northern nature landscapes here, looks like Karelia to me.
Melinda, I thought #bouldersunday meant to be published better on Sunday, is it so?.. or not? (it is due to this, i rarely take part in it, as I am lazy to post on weekends!)

Lovely nature photos, Melinda. Water running over the rocks makes a great photo and you captured how the water forks.

Howdy Melinda! I can just hear that river rushing. Really nice photos. I assume Clark's Crossing is as in William and Clark?

Yep, of Lewis and Clark fame. Their expedition went through this area.

Yay I guessed right. I remember they took a surprisingly Northern route to go out West.

This is on the way to Yellowstone and if I am remembering correctly they were some of the early explorers in that area of Wyoming.

That's okay Melinda, you have been busy doing other things? Hey the Pack and the Cowboys both play Sunday, well, I know you know the Pack plays. lol..but the boys play the dang Patriots so that should be the ultimate challenge. Until they meet the Pack again, I mean. lol.

I feel like it has been far too long since I watched football! I hate bye weeks.

I have been busy. I have been learning my way around in the steemit private beta site and setting up a couple of communities. One is called Shadow Hunters and the other is called Feathered Friends. I am quite excited about communities and can't wait until it all goes live.
