Unexpected Vistor in the Boulder Pond !!
On my walk yesterday through Chatuchuk Park in Bangkok city an one park you must visit if your even in Bangkok city this park is full of beautiful nature , flowers , trees , man made lakes and a few unusually wildlife animals that you wouldn't normally see in other parks. I spotted this beautiful pond so i thought i need to have a wonder around this pond you always find some interesting wildlife around ponds right.
So i am making my way across this little stone bridge and below me in the little flowing river were so beautiful Koi fish no many and small then made my way over this wooden podium which looked a little unsafe but treaded across slowly observing my footing , i didn't want to end up in the green algae pond.
As i was admiring and taking photos of those lovely boulders forming that cemented wall , i noticed some moment under all that lush green algae then a head pops up i don't know who got scared more but i got my zoom camera out to get some closer shots and it was a huge Monitor Lizard thank God it wasn't a Crocodile i would of been high legging it...lol 🙀
He started swimming to the edge when he saw me the funny thing as scary as they look with them huge deadly claws they are more scare of us humans for some reason so he was doing the runner and telling his friend hidden in bush there on the right hand side ...yeah there was another big Monitor Lizard he mate hiding in the scrub.
Yeah i know i lost all concentration of the beautiful boulders around me but i needed to catch his every movement on camera they just look awesome these lizards i love them they remain me of prehistoric reptile.
Well i was honestly not expecting to see this in a pond they certainly had it made a lovely fresh pond all to themselves like been in a private resort with all the luxuries and they certainly didn't expect me to stumble in on there privacy.
Well i got my story for the day an unexpected one but they are always the best ones and it was time for these two Monitor Lizards to have there privacy back thanks guys was nice to see you carry on guys i'll be on my way now 😊

I like the place... Looks like an art even a bit messy? LOL But goo to my eyes because of the green color around.
A very refreshing look indeed and lots of beautiful nature in this park.
Oh my, I have never seen anything like that monitor lizard. It looks huge!
The biggest one i have seen looked scary but when i got closer to take a closer up photo he took of like a bullet train 😆
This is a real jungle!
It looked that way seeing that big lizard ...lol 🙀 🙀
Oh wow that´s a pretty big one. I was not expecting this. 😳
He definitely surprised me when he started lifting himself out of that pond the biggest one i have seen in that park 🙀

Thank you @esteemapp well done 👍
You're lucky to have seen a Monitor Lizard, and of all places!
If it had been a crocodile, I'm wondering if you would have been able to take a picture of it before high-tailing out of there?! Thank you for sharing your experience @bigsambucca
Haha..i definitely would of high-tailed it out of there before thinking about taking a photo but happy it was only a Monitor Lizard they are more scared of us humans then i am about them 😆
WOW! That would sure wake you up in a hurry! Yikes! LOL
Haha...it certainly did just glad it wasn't a Alligator 🙀
What a beautiful place to walk around, so much
to see, but if I seen a lizard that big!! :-))
