Follow-up To The 'My Friend Randy' Post

This particular blog I pushed to HIVE via Steempress.

A few days ago, I received a notification via my blog that a comment had been made.

I logged in to discover the following comment:

Of course I replied that was amazing!

I guess this proves that you never know who will read what you put online, and the positive impact it can have. I made this person's day by sharing photos of a long since passed mutual friend, and they in turn made my day by sharing that info with me.

Keep on writing friends.

I missed your original post Josh coz I suck at engaging in Hive.

Touch wood I haven't lost any young friends yet, though about 6 or 7 years ago I thought I would, when a friend found out she got stage 4 colon cancer. She was only in her late 30s/early 40s then, but is still soldiering on now.

Anyway, I'm so glad your post made an impact on someone's day, and no doubt if Randy's parents knew I'm sure that they will find solace in knowing two random people in this world still remember their son after so many years.

Wow - what a story - I read your previous blog - It's very true - those who love someone will try to find them for their entire life. We lost one of our friend pretty young, I know the feelings. We remember him on every friendly meet.

I remember this post, and I shared this with my family at a dinner table. The original post. I missed the follow up post (only by a month). But better late than never. I am so glad someone else found the post. Obviously I never met Randy (I never even met you Josh!), but for some reason, unknown to me, I feel connected to that picture above. I don't know if there is a heaven or afterlife, or we just become soil or ashes when we die; but one thing I know that our loved ones, when they move on, they lived with us in our memories, and some rare cases those memories can get transmitted to others. I guess that's the way they live on...
