Preparing to have a good night's work

Hello friends, as I told you before I am doing my last internship which is in the Gynecology service but this time it is in intensive mode, which means that we have more guards and more followed which is usually exhausting.

Since there are so many we must plan well to avoid suffering from physical and mental exhaustion and avoid damaging our health.

<What I do is:

  • Sleep at least 8 hours the day before, which means I can't waste time on recreational activities, I must study early to be able to sleep properly.
  • Prepare food for the guard in time, something we should not do is bring "anything" to eat, we must have a good diet because I depend on that to perform properly.

Preparing chicken for the guard
  • Bring enough water, at least 2 liters since in the course of a guard we always sweat and lose a lot of liquid that we must replenish.
  • Coffee, in my case I can stand guard without drinking coffee but for some it is something completely necessary since it is a good stimulant.
  • Whenever you have the opportunity you should rest / sleep because we never know when many emergencies come together and we must attend to them all, and if there is no dream then study the pending issues.
