Issues of life in a big city

Hi, guys!

I haven't been here for several days, and for a good reason. I was completely blown away by the cuckoo, and I simply could not calm down enough to sit down and write a normal, high-quality post.

Today I found these powers (and also not by chance), because the previous night I was not allowed to sleep at all. All night I heard a loud beat, and I was sure that it was in some of the neighboring houses. And do you know what happened in the end? This beat sounded from the hydropark! Guys, this is two (!!!) metro stations from me! I'm afraid to imagine what is happening with the ears of the people who are directly there! Horror! And it will continue for 4 more days!

For normal sleep, I need silence, darkness, in short - ideal conditions. And here it is. To say that I hate them all is to say nothing.

Because now I have to sit down and calmly, well, work a lot. The deadlines for the courses are on fire, because a new assignment has to be submitted to the outside worker, and it is very voluminous. And listen to a lot of lectures. There are only two days left, and for this work I need the freshest head possible. And I have it as if the bell had struck there. But I really hope that I will still be able to concentrate, although this is unlikely.

The most unpleasant thing is that, in principle, you cannot wake me up. I wake up immediately in a panic attack, and there is little pleasant about it. By the way, would you like to share a cool way to help someone who has had a panic attack?

Everyone knows about a paper bag. It is necessary to remove the hyperventilation of the brain, where, as in this state, a person begins to breathe very often, which further provokes an increase in the attack. But besides this, you can do the following.

Sit nearby (do not grab the person by the arms and body, he is already nervous and gasping for breath), and ask him to name 5 things he sees, 5 things he hears, five things he can touch, 5 smells that he smells ... This is a very good technique to distract and ground the person who is fully focused on their seizure.

Continuation of DnD book:

Felix decided to head inland, along the coastline, in order to land in a large city, which could receive the few survivors they found in the village.

-In the first city I'll go ashore and I won't see you again ... -Mark grumbled, pensively peering over the horizon.

-Yeah, of course, -druid didn’t seem to believe in it, and continued to do his daily activities.

Jane was twirling in her hands a wonderful find, a staff with a knob - an octopus.

-We'll take him to Kandelkeep, they'll figure out what to do with him, they'll be able to protect him.

-Can I see the staff? - Lars approached the girl and held out his hand, confident of a positive answer.

-Of course, take it.

Then the unexpected happened. No matter how hard Lars tried, he could not take the magic item, the staff stuck tightly to Jane's hand.

-Damian, can I have you? -Lars turned around, looked with his eyes for the elf, but he was already standing next to the girl, running his hand a couple of centimeters from the staff, studying it.

-This is a curse, -the magician said thoughtfully, -I'm afraid now it can be separated from you only with the hand.

-Can't you peel him off me?!?

Damian shook his head.

-Not here, not without components. To do this, we will have to cross the continent all the way to Neverwinter, and during this time, Asmodeus alone knows what will happen to you.

-Paaaapa, - said Felix, who was standing at the wheel, in an undertone and smiled predatory.

-So, let's cut off her arm, -Mark suggested, -And then Lars will sew it back.

-Mark, are you serious? -Jane quickly turned pale, -Damian, will this thing kill me?

-Perhaps-the elf was still examining the staff, then suddenly slightly shook his head, as if driving away the obsession, -Dear, do not worry. We'll find a way to fix this.

The druid pulled the mage aside and bent down to his sharp ear, lowering his voice to a whisper.

-Do you know how to help her?

-I know. But I really can't do anything here. Tell Felix to steer to dry land. Any relatively large city. There we can find what we need to remove the curse.

-Are you sure?

Damian was silent for a moment, thinking.

-Not. But we must try.

It took me days to get on the right course. It seemed that the sea was playing some kind of evil game with the adventurers. The staff, meanwhile, decided to show character. From it, viscous green mucus began to stand out uncontrollably. Novak was busy all day scrubbing the deck, and this occupation already seemed to him much more difficult than mastering the oral count. The amount of mucus clearly fell under the definition of "a lot," if not "a lot." In addition, the slime attracted strange sea creatures, which had to be thrown out of the ship from time to time.

  • Has anyone ever seen such creatures? - shouted Felix, thrusting another overgrown tadpole onto the sword.

Lars, in the form of a bear, sent another creature overboard with one blow of his paw and, turning to face the tiefling, shook his muzzle from side to side.

See you in the next post!
Love, Inber
