What's Christmas to you?

A conversation lingered on
One with seemingly no end
And left me obviously bored of
As to where meaning went

Why we're always in such high spirits
Spending so much time and money
The urge to give directs steady
Yet we don't have a concrete reason

Can the be a Christmas without Christ?
Cause the part seems all but forgotten
We've replaced Jesus with Santa
And even I feel like a heathen

So out of curiosity I wonder
What it means to each be it believer
Why the season still sways us
When the reason gets more vague
