Killing Floor 2 Double XP event is over. Back to work! 👷

All good things come to an end but I had a good time.

Every now and again, you will notice I fall off the radar in terms of activity. These times generally coincide with KF2 double XP events. This had been my favorite game for years and it's a lot of fun blasting mutants away.

I guess I should be biased being a mutant myself (Ehlers Danlos Type II) but no such luck for the Zed hordes who I persecute with EXTREME prejudice. Jk jk

After experimenting with the updated game dynamics in the beta, I found my niche with the Dragonbreath, a incendiary shotgun, which has the capability of inducing flames without the distance limitations of the Caulk'n'Burn or Flamethrower. With that being said, it is a great weapon to consider for both the FireBug(Ground Fire FTW!) and Support Perks.

During my last session, I managed to secure the W for the team against one of the bosses known as the Patriarch with 4 health remaining. (Don't worry my gender equality warriors. There is also a Matriarch and she's quite a bitch)

MRW I toast ol Patty to a crisp and have a NDE at the same time

Also me.

On another note, been running the GraceGospelGaming server intermittently and think it would be pretty cool if I could figure out a way for people to earn crypto playing on the server.

I know there are logs that I could likely parse usernames from so that is one option but would need a registration mechanism. Anyways, as I am already hella backlogged on projects, this would be one go put on the backburner in any case.

Besides from gaming, been spending a bit of time with family and friends. Last weekend we decided to hit the river w an old friend coming from Houston.

Look ma! No mask!

It was a good time spare my fail moment where something didn't click when I crossed over chains and buoys to go down a small waterfall. I capsized in my tube but thankfully didn't lose anything other than my dignity.

Now, that the fun and games is past, it is time to start thinking about the future.

I've been fairly afk when it comes to coding as it become more of a chore than something I enjoy but would like to find the magic again. I can make no guarantees but I know that I have some great ideas in the ol noggin that, if I am able to breathe life into, could cause quite a stir.

It's a big IF as my time is a finite resource and being the father to a developmentally challenged daughter can take a lot not to mention my e energy. Let's just say I have acknowledged the fact that I am not a spring chicken but am, by no means, done with the things I have in mind to accomplish.

Unfortunately, my procurement of more suitable server hardware fell through as the guy was allegedly willing to ship but was requesting payment through venmo while I needed the assurance of a payment provider with escrow.

Fortunately, there may be hope through an Amazon listing from another seller but gonna need to hold off until payday.

To speak in more terms of specifics:

  • HiveDR (Hive Downvote Rewards aka Hive Doctor):

We were @steemflagrewards and our mission was to promote equitable distribution of the reward pool by challenging and removing rewards from spam, collusive voting and many other permutations of reward pool manipulation.

One main thing that sets us apart from others is our inclusivity in that anybody willing to delegate and downvote appropriately could take part.

It was a true community initiative and decentralized, things that seemed to have eluded the eyes of major stakeholders during our tenure on Steem despite what I see as a distinct ability to cut costs from the current centralized model. We did a good job for the power we were allotted.

With our wee bit of power, we definitely made a splash but we could have made waves. I know it can be done if we were to integrate the system into a social media Cloud Service Provider. I've already said too much. If you wanna see it on hive, put your money where your upvote is and BPT vote our proposal(s) when they hit.

  • SteemYaLater - > HiveYaLater

I intend to design the blog backup service using my SiaCoin host after configuring it to function as a SkyNet portal. I think a Chrome plugin would be great for this as well.

  • CringeCoin

Still plenty of cringe on chain. I will need to design a bot to tap into this potential.

Of course, I've had more ideas that had cropped up but these are the main ones I think should be re-engaged. I'm making some changes in my life. No more cigarettes, gonna cut back considerably on the alcohol, start a fitness regime and hope this will have a favorable affect on my dwindling energy levels.

It's kind of a bummer that the few momenta of clarity I have in the day are opiate induced due to the constant nagging pain from having the spine of a 70 year old but things could always be worse. If you live a life unencumbered by chronic pain, consider yourself lucky and try to get things done before your body goes to shit.

Trust me

Thankfully, I had two recent procedures to reduce the pain by using radio frequency to burn my nerves so I have a bit of a reprieve but it's only temporary. Until I get the Adamantium spinal upgrade, this is my life.

I can't wait till I can open that pesky bubble packaging with ease!

Thanks for listening to my short rambling. Hope it made your day just a little bit brighter.

Thanks man. Definitely recommend getting out to nature to unwind especially floating the river. It's super chill.. well except for the slide and waterfall thing I went down. Yeah don't do that.

It's in New Braunfels btw
