Block Trades, a great experience!

For someone who has little experience in Blockchain, and who comes to his encounter with this technology by chance, this path becomes an ascending route, of surprising and fascinating knowledge that makes you want more, it is like a kind of addictive substance that It catches you but you don't want to leave, and beyond that, you want to share every experience lived as if it were the best thing that happened to you in life. (In the case of steemit, it is one of the best things that has happened to me).

One of the experience I have had recently was my first transaction in the internal steemit market, made through the BlockTrades exchange, yes! It might be noncustodial in a way but that doesn't mean it decentralized

Perhaps you misinterpret the last part of this paragraph, I think that if they say that (in the way they do when placing an order in a centralized exchange.), If they qualify the fdemas exchanges as centralized it is understood that you do not belong to That group, that is, if you are not centralized, it is because you are decentralized.

A long time ago I left my gmail configured, after a while I could not enter anymore and send me a message that they (blocktrades) sent a confirmation email to my email and it never arrived,
Until one day a friend in common HAHA @juanmolina told me that I should try to log in with an email from hotmail.com., Well that's how I was able to enter after many months of trying. and that was a week ago :D

previously I used blocktrades a couple of times to rent SP and I didn't have any inconvenience, it seems to be a quite intuitive platform in comparison with many other exchanges.
Just one detail to keep in mind, as @sames says, blocktrades is not completely decentralized. We are not doing peer to peer transactions, everything goes through the blocktrades account and we adjust to their taxes. Of course, all this does not mean that it is not a good service that we can use.

I have also used Blocktrades and it went well! After registering with my email I was able to access its friendly interface, just by entering "Quick Trade" and my transaction was already underway, which lasted a few minutes. Ideal to change bitcoin or ERC-20, since the rates are minimal; It also accepts other recognized crypto. It seems to me that it favors new users very much given its easy understanding, also for those who do not want to spend their time doing extensive protocols to subscribe an exchange outside the STEEM blockchain.

I do like blocktrades I have used it a lot before but I feel because there isn't many it has a monopoly on exchange rates and charge what they want what you think ?

I have used BlockTrades for all of my transactions here when I wanted to deposite the Steem. All the transactions were very smooth and fast. I never had any issues with BlockTrades.

It took me very long to understand and the first time I did I already joined over 1 year here.
I had help via chat of the @partiko app @anouk.nox guided me step by step.
I didn't know how to change steem dollar into steem so the only thing I did sofar was changing it into litecoin, the litecoin transferring into my wallet, next change it into euro and the euro to my bank account (before it was PayPal but that option was gone).
To be honest I find it a struggle and agree no one takes the time to explain how or what.
All those posts the same blah blah, same with steem-engine but no one takes the time to explain step by step what to do next.
Btw I did not come much further as looking at steem-engine and with help of @felt.buzz I managed to unstake the mess I made and did wrong trying and so I could finish my wakeup kitty.pal account.

Use the internal market for that exchange, @wakeupkitty. Much better cost and fast. "Market" is in the dropdowns of your steem and sbd amounts.

I have always used the market no matter what the price.
I use blocktrades because they are easy and fast. I have heard they are very expensive in their fees for us, but I have not investigated that yet.
I take steem out of here weekly since Dec 2017, and so far - blocktrades is never a problem

After the external wallet is transferred out of the coin,
It may take 30 minutes to 6 hours for coins to enter Blocktrades.
This time is called bitcoin miner time (about 0.5~6 hours).
After Blocktrades receives the coin, it will deposit the STEEM coin into your STEEM account, which will take about 2 hours to complete.

Thank you for sharing your experience with block trades. I remember using them once and when I compared it with Binance and withdrawing steem from this platform. And blocktrades was surely more expensive, however much easier to navigate. So I believe this is their biggest strength. Simplicity.

I would love to recount my first experience with Blocktrades.
I remember using Blocktrades the first time I wanted to get into Steemit and I swear aI hadn't seen a more easy to use UI until them. It was single, elegant, instant and satisfying. I was able to navigate through the site in a matter of minutes.

What a good experience you share, it really was that simple for me too, this page is very friendly. Although some mention the issue of higher commissions than in other places, perhaps for those who exchange a large amount of coins that is important but with a minimum amount I think it is not relevant.
