Real Black Leaders oppose BLM and "Defund the Police".
Warren Mundine (AO) is one of Australia's greatest Indigenous Australian leaders and someone I am proud to know personally. I have known his wife since I was a teenager.
He has been fighting for Aboriginal causes his entire life and is highly respected in Australia.
This is his response to BLM and the "Defund the Police" movement.
BLM is a racist movement that is completely counter-productive to the true interests of blacks in America and worldwide.
Most black deaths in the US are at the hands of other blacks and without effective policing this will increase drastically.
Attacking whites and blaming them for all manner of sins, real or imagined, committed by some of their great, grandfathers is the very definition of racial discrimination - treating a person badly just because of the colour of his/her skin.
Blacks need meaningful employment, safe communities and above all, to stop playing the victim and take responsibility for making their lives and communities better.
Warren Mundine understands this.
