Two new birds in our shelter

Two new birds arrived last night. Today I took photographs and present them to you.

This is raven Grisha. The bird was found weakened and unable to fly. Judging by its behavior, it is difficult to say whether the bird was raised by humans or lived in the wild. There are pros and cons for the benefits of each version. At the moment the bird is healthy. Grisha will live in the aviary for about a month after which a decision will be made whether it is possible to return it to the wild.

The second bird is a male wild duck. The bird probably fell prey to a predator attack. At the moment, the wounds have healed, but the plumage on the back has not yet recovered. When this happens, the bird will be returned to the wild.

Welcome to the new entries! They are both beautiful bird. About the second one, here in Italy we call this kind of duck "Germano" and I use to see a couple of them (a male and a female too) in the small river close to my home, but I think they live in a lake close to the river. ^_^
