My Last 3 Beers! #beersaturday

I can hear the world calling out now. "Tell us what beers you are exploring lately!" Who am I to deny my legions of followers the answer?

I have striven for adventure in recent chapters of Zeke's Sweet Hops. Brewery tours, gift pack reviews, and exotic bottle shop beers. Today, we return to the roots and look back on the last 3 beers I have invited to my photo studio. Are they redesigned old favourites? Standard awesome beers? New brews freshly debuting on the shelves? Hell, I dunno, let's look.

Sweet and Good

I have featured every Collective Arts https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/ numbered IPA series as long as I can remember. There have been so many, I generally end up just seeing the next number on the shelf, saying, "fuckyah!" to myself, and picking up 2. I did that this time only to get home, realize that I have had this one before and bought maybe the last of the supply that came out a month ago? Oh well!

This is Collective Arts IPA No.11 - Lactose IPA https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/shop/all/beer/ipa-no-11-tall-can/ I enjoy a lactose IPA for the creamy texture and vanilla like sweetness along with bold hops and unfiltered haze. I get tired of them but they are definitely a nice change and treat. The creamcicle on the can reminded me that I had tasted this one before. I rated it an "I would buy this again" and the prophesy has been fulfilled.

Death in the Valley

This Triple Hop Ale caught my eye initially because it had the deliberate test in the label and stood out when compared to the ones I knew well and others with crests and logos. When you hit https://mcauslan.com/en/the-brewery/, it is a bit of a mess and I am not sure what I am seeing. https://mcauslan.com/en/ works a little better and I remember this brewery from a long long time ago. They had some good malty beer and a raspberry wheat if I am not mistaken. IT is a TRIPLE hop ale so I gotta give it a try.

The real estate on the can aside from the main label should be use to be the second punch in the combo that hits you hard enough to put this can, over 100 others, in your basket. This is the only text on the can aside from the normal government-regulated stuff on the label. No story, no hipster key words, nothing. Aside from that, the beer was good. Nice and hoppy as expected (which hops, I could not tell you they fail to share) and it has the alcoholy taste of an 8% beer. These are the type of beers I would pick up to round out a mixed 12-pack of beers ranging from light to heavy. Not bad at all.

Hitting the Town

This is a complementary Collective Arts - Life in the Clouds IPA https://collectiveartsbrewing.com/beers/life-in-the-clouds/ Literally one of the best beers around and firmly in my exhaulted top 10. This one is a sweet surprise normally but doubly so when it is featured at a bar you would not thing would have a great selection, and was presented on the house for this beerologist. 2/3 of the ownership group of our Digital Marketing Company https://www.towncriermarketing.ca aka @town-crier were on hand this evening and were guests of The Red Lion Room https://redlionroom.ca/ taking social media pics and enjoying the live music in exchange for a couple beers. What a treat and what a night.

This second beer enjoyed out on the town was a Redline Breweries Rainbow In the Dark Rye IPA http://www.redlinebrewhouse.com/the-beers/rainbow-in-the-dark/ First of all, I love Redline brewery for their APA, and one-off IPAs. Second of all, Rainbow In The Dark is an epic song by the immortal Ronnie James Dio (check out that video after I get done the Third of all.) Third of all, I like a good Rye IPA and a good pub like Molly Blooms Irish Pub here in town http://mollybloomsstratford.com/ Such an unreserved unfiltered yummy beer shared with good company in a great place. It is good to get out.

That's all you get for now you savages. I do have some brand new stuff to share, a few chapters on interesting subclasses of brew, and a couple of Beerologist-specific announcements when the time is right.

Until then, stay thirsty and post your beer story on STEEM!
