Last Saturday was a special #beersaturday

Sometimes you just need to do yourself a favor. That's why I bought this very special beer and I would like to share the experience with you under the hashtag #beersaturday introduced more than two years ago by @detlev.

What makes the beer special?

Well, it starts with the bottle as you can see on the photo below. Also, it has a cork which is quite unusual for a beer. Something else - which you can't see - is the price: almost 44 STEEM one bottle and last but not least the taste of course. More about that later ;)

Let's inspect the bottle and what it tells us a bit more

Hertog Jan - also the "normal" beer - is one of my favorites. So my expectations for this "special" one were quite high.
"Uit Liefde voor Bier" they say which is hard to translate ... I think "Because we love beer" does the job.
50cl/500ml beer with 8.5% alc. vol. told me to be careful. This beer might have some impact ;)
The beer is made of water, malted barley, wheat starch, sugar, hops, yeast.
The sugar worried me a bit but I think it was needed to have this 8.5 % :)

The taste (a very subjective view of course)

It is a smooth beer. Blond in color with soft bitters and a range of fruity aromas. It is a beer to enjoy at a nice and quiet time. You simply do not drink it like a "normal" beer but enjoy every single sip.

Was it worth the almost 44 STEEM?

Yes, yes and YES!
And I can tell you, I got another special Hertog Jan which I will write about next week.

Meine Herren, die Flasche sieht ja krass aus. Und mit Sektkorken verschlossen- was es nicht alles gibt. Sehr cool!
Ich hoffe der @muelli sieht diesen Beitrag auch noch (?).
