7 Monks

If you ha e driven through Traverse City and not stopped at 7 Monks you are missing out! This tap house not only has a killer tap list, but it has one of the coolest atmosphere in town. The bar it self is dark, but warm and inviting. It feels like everyone is a local and for all I know everyone is.

I was in town last weekend working on a project and decided to gab a beer and read book. That’s right I took a book to a bar on a Friday night. I know I’m really cool. The bartenders were all cool and I only got to read for about 10 mins because I spent the next two hour chatting with some locals.

The conversation was good so I decided it was a two beer kind of night. The first beer was a harvest ale that was hoppy with bitter notes.

The second was a sour that was slightly funky; in a good way.

If I lived closer this would be a weekly stop for me. I highly recommend checking this place out.
