The Philippines is diverse. From north, to south, to east, to west... expect things to change! My explorations across more than 70 of the 81 Provinces emphasized that to me. Personally, I think that is a bonus for travellers! Why? Because diversity makes the country endlessly exciting to explore! Okay, but enough about diversity, because there is something else I find wonderful...

Amongst that diversity, beautiful similarities exist!

Case and point... When Mike and I danced Pangalay with locals in Mindanao.

Do you know what Pangalay is? Well it is a traditional dance of the Tausug. This ethnic group, who hail from the Sulu Archipelago here in the Philippines, perform this at weddings or different festive events. It involves moving your body in a unique flow... I can't really describe it... but it is beautiful!

Anyways, what does Pangalay have to do with "similarities" here across the Philippines!?
