Bally Park with the miniaturized pile dwellings
The Bally Park with a beautiful Aare landscape, have an English-style, the miniaturized pile dwellings are a unique specimen of the park in Europe.
It was 1851, when Carl Franz Bally founded the shoe manufactory Bally in Schönenwerd- Switzerland. The park was so part of a typical industrial landscape of the 19th century, consisting of factories, factory owner's villa, worker's houses, warehouses and recreation rooms.
In the main buildings, in the attic there were rooms for 50 workers and on the second floor the employees were allowed to eat and drink for 50 centimes. On the ground floor was the workers' dining room, for only 25 centimes.

One look so grand, one look much simpler.
I have not heard much of Bally in Singapore recently though I believe they still have stores here.
Pretty place to be :-)
