MAYBE IT IS OKAY DOING THE SAME THING IF IT WORK

So I am a millennial. One of the perks of being a millennial is that you are open to change. I dare say change is encoded in our DNA. we love to try out new things and ideas, even when it is not needed.

I recently took a job as a content creator. This isn’t something I need right now. I am pretty fine with my position. This has little to do with complacency because i get to learn new things from what i do.

However, i have been fighting this need for change and the fear that companies it. We live in a fast-paced world where things are constantly changing and to stay relevant one must adapt to these changes or oversee them before they go mainstream.

For example, I got into crypto when most people in my sphere thought it was a silly idea. Fast forward to today and everyone wants to own or trade bitcoin. It is mainstream now (i guess) and a lot boring because everyone now agrees with the fact that it is the future.

So the goal is to jump onto something else. Maybe a job since most people aren’t following that route anymore. Maybe becoming an entrepreneur or something fancy. There are just so many maybe’s.

WHY DO I WANT CHANGE WHEN THERE IS ABSOLUTELY NOTHING WRONG WITH WHAT I AM DOING?

There are still a lot of opportunities in this industry. I can think of a dozen things I can do at this point. So why the pressing need to change things? I think it is counter-productive.

I think I am searching for a new challenge. This new job seems like one. Plus, judging by the little time I spent with my colleagues I think I should have a healthy working relationship and improve on my skills which is key for me.

I resume on Tuesday. Hopefully, this turns out to be a healthy challenge I am looking for. I had an extensive discussion with my colleagues today and things are looking good.

I feel things should remain the same if they don't need changing. We can still explore other options while we remain grounded in our roots.

My new job isn't anything different from what I am used to. I will be creating content and coming up with creative ideas to boost cottage business.

By remaining grounded in our roots, is that not resisting change?

Well change is inevitable at some point. We need it. The world is changing rapidly and we need to adapt to the changing situation or fizzle out. But in so doing we should not forget what we know. For example i am a writer. This is what i love doing and hope to continue. I might have to change my style of writing or the platforms i use to write to meet the changing needs of the market

I understand when you say that what you are looking for maybe isn't to change, but to be challenged. I feel that a lot many times, that all is good, but still there should be something else here.

I think is fine to branch out and still keep grounded in your roots. Actually that's one of the best things you can do in my point of view. Spread out towards the sun, but keep yourself safe on your core.

I think you're right here because it is not even about the money anymore but the opportunity to learn and grow. This is what i am gunning for.

Thanks for stopping by
