Egg White For Cake Batter That Became A Meringue Frosting
Today is the birthday of my mother in law I decided I make her a cake. I am still new and experimenting with baking. On this photo you see the finished product.
The night before I made the cake. I am supposed to use the egg whites for the cake batter but I got excited by the texture of it and I think I could use it for my frosting like a meringue. It was already late so I slept on it and continued the next morning which is today.
I think the Meringue Frosting is stable enough and did not disappoint. The pink crumbles are barquilos from Cebu. What is a barquilos?hmmm I should say it has a texture similar to an ice cream sugar cone. There. I had a few left so I crushed them and made them brighten up my cake. Sometimes we need to be resourceful and creative especially when we are pressed for time. I am glad that looked fine including the lettering I made.
