Way back in June 2019 I was visiting my friend Vesna in Tulln an der Donau, and since she is also a artist, we were both working. I had brought my drawing supplies with me and drew, while she was painting. Ever so once in a while we checked up on each other, and Vesna took some photos of my progress (something which I always forget to do) - so here are the shots she took of me that day, June 18th 2019:
... as you an see from these pictures, there was nothing pre-planned, no preliminary drawing. I like to let myself be led by the inspiration of the moment. So I surprise myself with the outcome.
And so it sat around for months, once I took it home. I wasn't working on it anymore (until much later). What I did in the meantime was play with the details of it to create digital images:
these in turn I used for design patterns, which I utilized on Zazzle:
two different version of tank tops

Leggings
and all my Leggings on Zazzle
and Wrapping Paper
the Wrapping Papers you find under School and Office Supplies
The verdict here is: I need to get my act together and start producing again. Of late I did way too much playing on the computer. With more exhibitions coming up, I will need to produce new work, and I do have some concepts in mind - but the most fun I get out of it is if I experiment. I've done some experimental stuff with paint that looks promising. I can't just do the same old, I always need to experiment with new ways, otherwise I get bored.

Great, thanks - going to check you out on Discord!
Hi Otto, sometimes we just need to relax and let it go, the pattern will come itself, depending on your mood and inspiration. I am glad that you have captured the moments of the drawings, it is interesting to learn what you do and how. What pencils or markers you used. I thought that they are mechanical ones graphite but it looks like ink too :)
I do prefer graphite pencils and sticks, as well as charcoal. But at times I also use these Micron pens, ever since I participated in the collaborative work of Antipodes. But when it comes to ink, I prefer a dip pen. The Micron pens are just convenient for travel.

thank you!
Love seeing you work; so inspiring seeing an artist in the zone making something so magical.
thanks - hopefully in future more often, to get into the groove again.
The leggings print looks so amazing. I hope someone buy it and wear it in a very surreal yoga session:)
would be good advertisement - certainly not everyone would wear the same ...... most stuff I designed I know from sales records that there isn't another one around in the whole world! More exclusive than Dior!
