L·E·A·F· in Burgas - Link Environment & Art on Field

A few days ago 140 ideas visited Burgas with their wonderful project L·E·A·F·

L·E·A·F· is a project, dedicated to the small world under our feet. Living in a world, where they trade you emptiness announced with big statements and put in shiny packages, distracts us from the real energy source and network, that we all are part of.

The berdache (yellow water lily/rose) is illustrated in Burgas.

The burduche is a water plant. The species is included in the Red Book of Bulgaria under the category "rare" and is protected under the Biological Variety Act and the Medicinal Plants Act.

In the new Red List of Bulgaria it is entered under the category "endangered". In Burgas district it grows in the reserves Ropotamo and Velyov Vir, as well as along Veleka River and in Mouth of Veleka River Protected Area.

L·E·A·F· is a tour around several cities in Bulgaria and going for the whole summer of 2019. The crew of artists - 140 ideas, paint over 20 separate objects in the cities of Sofia, Ruse, Veliko Tarnovo, Gorna Oryahovitsa, Stara Zagora, Yambol, Burgas and Varna.

We put the main focus on the micro botanical jungle, that lives around us - well known plants, typical for the area, some endemic species and some abstract perceptions, all connected with the spirit of the environment, that the object is placed. We don't pretend for botanical punctuality, but we still try to place the main character of the plants we paint and merge it all into a possible vision of a macroworld.
