Greetings, Steemlandians!

LOL! No. It's isn't coal.

It's a Christmas Mouse!

So... backstory... I'm learning to draw. I'm VERY new. VERY NEW. Like... in the last month. It's Christmas Eve and I saw this little "mouse" prompt searching through creativecoin. They do a DAILY prompt. This is so good for me! 😍 Here's a link to the specific day I'm entering - 🐭MOUSE🐭

The Process

Full disclosure: This went through many changes. Changes there were erased or deleted. I'm totally new to working with layers. It's awesome. Someday I'll be awesome too.

First I draw a bunch of swirly circly things... and a hat. Cause I already know this mouse be wearing a hat.

Now to really decided what he's gonna look like. See how different he is from the first doodles? I mean, look! His arm was point up at first!

OMG. His eyes. I'm just now noticing this?! What is wrong with them?! Ugh....

Most Christmas mice are grey. So is this little guy.

RED!!!!

Belt and buckle. Oh, can I just say? I had the hardest time deciding on shoes/feet... Dangit! Now I see there should be a bag of toys!!!!! (#)nexttime

Just the tiniest bit of shadowing.

Backgrounds take me hours... but mostly cause I'm just messing around. This should look like a wintery snow thing. Just tell me it does.

Oh... writing my name is a chore too. But I feel like that looks pretty good.

@carrieallen, After watching this Art Piece i want to say that your Artistic Skills are nowhere near to new. You are good and in my opinion with continous practice you can come up with some Masterpieces. Stay blessed always.

To be fair, I have been spending one hour a day learning to use the program... and watching tutorials. It's almost like cheating, but not quite... cause even if I use a tutorial, I look at it and then try to do everything with my own imagination.

I may share some of my other creations... as I get better.
