Hello Hivians,
I hope you're all observing a wonderful week? I am quite enjoying mine even while observing a lockdown. Since I learnt the lockdown doesn't affect creativity so my world of Art has been keeping me so much alive.

I made this painting yesterday while trying to get myself warm because it was really cold yesterday, as a result of a heavy rainfall.

Processes & Procedures.

Just like the first step of almost all my previous paintings, I make the pencil sketch first.

I used a very light tone of yellow to highlight some of the lightest part of the Orange.

I painted the eatable part of the Orange with two different tones of yellow and a little mix with Orange colour itself.

Adding much more details into the eatable part of the Orange was more fun. I did that using about three different tones of Orange mixed with yellow and some drops of Yellow Ochre at some point.

At this point, I could have controlled the light direction so well but I never knew the Orange I applied on the body of the fruit is quite too rich for that stage but luckily for me, I was wise enough to leave the highlights with some very light tones of yellow.

Here, blending crept in, I tried to merge and marry all the shades and tones on the body of the Oranges together in order to achieve some harmony in my painting.

At this stage, I made so many more touches on the Orange in order to bring out some details, I really couldn't get much of the lighter parts of the Oranges but it was still a successful one with the shadow casting, adding of the stalk to one of the Oranges and creating a depth relationship between the two Oranges. It's a Beautiful One!

Thanks For Stopping By!
