Felt experiments: Black and White

avatar

Like a good photograph I like my clothes in black and white most. I do wear colour, but there's just thing tingle on my brain if I see a good design in stark contrasts - and there's not better and bigger contrast than black and white.

For some reason I hadn't made a real black and white scarf since starting my wet- and nuno-felting experiments. Probably because I went all crazy buying tons of colours from different fiber sources - and every time I came up with some new cool combination of colours to try.

As this morning: a lovely green, some melange of green and pink and brown, and some orange wool to top it all of.

I almost went for it, again.
Which also meant: another day without making a bold black and white scarf, one I would probably wear daily once finished.

I blame all the ideas I have in my mind about creating a brand, a webshop, selling my wearable art online. I'm subconsciously already making stuff to sell instead of making stuff to wear myself.

But that ends today. Here's the layout and sneak preview of the newest scarf I made - all for myself. Hurray.

(Oh, and I also found an amazing fitting dummy to show my scarfs on - you know, for that maybe-webshop I'm going to launch. Soon. Ish. First more practice.)

That's a stylish scarf yo.
You can always sell your scarfs and stuff at @steembay. I would love to buy one for my girlfriend and pay with STEEM.
She loves combining Black and White clothes.

By the way, I haveobserved that most women love the black colour? I believe men buy a lot less black coloured clothes than women.

Ohhh @knowhow92 that would be so cool! I'll certainly make sure I'll sell for STEEM too once I am ready to 'open my shop'. I'll just write you down as my first potential customer and contact you whenever I'm ready to sell <3 Thanks for the vote of confidence, I appreciate it.

And yes, ladies love black, I don't know why either - I think the fashion industry told us at some point in history that black was stylish and we stayed with it ever since - maybe as a reaction against all the flowery dressed we wore in other eras :D

Well, your approach makes total sense regarding women and black though I love to see a lady dressed in colorful clothes 😅

I'll be more than happy to put me on your list.
Good luck and keep it up.
That black scarf looks amazing 🔝

:D Thanks again! And I make very colourful scarfs too, I often use black in them so she could wear some colour with her black clothes, haha! (Masterplan :D)

You can do something for yourself. You can do something for sale. You can do something for yourself and then sell it.
The last option is the coolest. I wish you success :-=)
