WIP: Coaster test! // Light installation on a roller coaster for the East Austin Studio Tour

(Edited)

Here are two tests on the roller coaster! My good friend Ryan Adams (his instagram) was hired to build this for the East Austin Studio Tour in austin, TX. I've been commissioned to do A/V in the tunnel.

Still in design stages for the tunnel, Haven't started building.
Up next we have to start projector testing, finishing the tunnel, killing/patching light leaks.

The plan is to build a heavy sound design for the tunnel, where people's scream is distorted and played back at them as they rush through the tunnel.

Thematically it may end up being very geometric, since people will be whizzing by the effect has to be short and sweet. Not sure where we are heading exactly but it's going to be fun!

In case you missed it, check out my first post on this project

I have a little itch to make a trick tunnel like in the old cartoons. Not sure it will really work out in a convinving way, but it would be a funny thing to try to pull off. We'll see how it goes!

Dude i love it! I seen others make one before but you got a freaking tunnel! You plan to put some trippy stuff in the tunnel? Also do you plan to find a way to make it do a full loop by adding a chain?

yeah plan for the tunnel is to get trippy, but the design is forming as we setup. The coaster will have a manual pulley, with a person to operate it. An automatic chain might just be too much for this particular project :D

And just to be clear
