"I Didn't Finish, but That's Okay..." by Richard F. Yates
I worked on editing the new episode of "Shelter at Home" today, but I didn't finish. Sorry! The project proved too much for me to finish in one day.
This is partially because I'm a fragmented personality, working on a half dozen projects at a time (and lucky to finish ANY single project before I'm distracted and accidentally slide into a different project... You should see me trying to clean up a mess. My brain fizzles and my eyes dart from object to object, with little whiffs of smoke spilling out of my nose and mouth while I calculate how to START, then glitch and move to a different thing, then remember the first thing I was working on, shoot a couple sparks out of my ears, and then grab at a third thing that caught my eye while I was looking for the first thing again. Meanwhile, Mariah has cleaned up the first thing, things four, five, and six, gone back and grabbed the second thing, and I realize that there's nothing left to clean up, so I dropped thd third thing---still in my hand---into the bag or basket or box that Mariah has stuffed everything into. I would love to see a video of us cleaning up after the baby has been here some day...)
Besides working on editing and writing notes for the audio show that Mariah and I recorded yesterday, I also had to erase the personal data from Mariah's phone to get it ready to send it back for a partial refund on our NEW phones, worked on setting up my new day planner (which is supposed to HELP ME finish stuff), and got a bunch of mail art ready to ship out... (Here are some photos of some of the postal art bits going out tomorrow...)
Mariah (aka "The Wife") and I also watched a couple of episodes of Doom Patrol, which is quite good. A thought provoking and funny series.
And that's pretty much it. I didn't complete everything on my list, but I got SOME stuff done. That's pretty good (considering the potential for getting NOTHING done was also a possibility!) I'll work on trying to get the audio show finished and uploaded tomorrow, but I DO have to work tomorrow afternoon, so we'll see how it goes. (Cross your tentacles...but don't hold your breath...)
Later, skaters...
