The Bunkie - Watercolor Painting Timelapse

(Edited)

This is a painting I made this morning of our Tiny Cabin on Lake Superior.

We call it “The Bunkie”

In this very short Time-Lapse Video I show the steps I follow to create a small Painting on 6 x 9 - 90 lb watercolour Paper

Step 1: I start with a quick Pencil sketch to mark the horizon line, middle ground and foreground.

Step2: I add the very basic outline of the wood shed, the cabin and the larger trees.

Step 3: I start with dry paper and add a light blue in the sky and a pale yellow for the highlights on the snow.

Step4: I paint the cabin and then the larger Trees.

Step 5: I add all of the coniferous foliage, layering many colors to create depth and shadows.

Step 6: I paint the darker blue shadows in the foreground.

Step 7: I add details to trees, shadows and cabin.

Step 8. I add the final deciduous Trees (Mountain Ash) in front of the cabin when the coniferous trees are dry.

Thank you very much for watching.... should I do these videos without Timelapse ? They would be about 1/2 hour to 1 hour long to watch. Maybe I will try some. I need more Memory.

This is my Studio Set up ...

Yeah.... I guess I could describe what I’m doing or play some very old copyright free classical Music. I have filmed events where there was pop music in the background and the video was banned in every country in the world. So I would have to be careful with the music.
