Minoan Dream. Collage animation.

One of my latest commissions was the Minoan Dream digital collage artwork that i created for Kaliston Art, a Greek company that produces high quality silk scarves. They wanted a design inspired by the rich culture and history of our country to market it abroad and try to extend their business in countries where there is a demand for scarves like Saudi Arabia. i was inspired by the ancient Minoan civilization and having the famous frescoes of the Minoan palace as my base i tried to create a colourful and simple digital creation.

The owners of the company are my best clients, always pay forward for the commission and do not intervene much with the creative process. Also they send my two scarves as a gift which is actually really cool because they sell them around 150 Euros each. In return i decided to make them a gif animation of the artwork to use it for further promotion.

The scarf is 90/90 cm in size, 100% silk and the print is top quality, you can see every little detail. I took some photographs and hoping are good enough to get an idea of the actual product. Photography is not my strong skill so i added at the end a photo from the official account of Kaliston.

I wouldn't buy it because you cannot see the print once wrapped around your neck but still..

That is a good idea I hope it won't crinkle too much. Silk is still sold much? My father always said wearing a silk scarf helps against a soar throat. Perhaps I had one in the past but I am not sure. Most of what I wear and use is made of cotton (anti allergic and cold).

Wow George that is amazing, the motif represents the story and heritage of Greek mythology and you combine that everything in such beautiful pattern, I am glad you decided to do GIF that is great advertisement tool. On the scarfs the motif looks great.
