#Inktober - Post mortem.

After all guys, I've finally done it. First Inktober done all the way. Just wanted to share some thoughts before moving on to something else.

I'm not a that much of a drawing guy. I know how to draw of course but I consider myself as average. Taking this challenge was a big chunk because I'm a 3d guy more than anything so using pens and traditional drawing was not particularly my strength.

But hey, who cares!! Below is a compilation of all my drawings for this Inktober.

Wonder what I used for this? Here it is. 4 Staedtler pens ranging from 0.1 to 0.7 in thickness. I used a 2H pencil to layout my design, a correction pen to give highlight because, I'm cheap like that and a Sharpie to give darkness to my drawings. I also used a homemade guitar pick to scrap out the pen corrector when I applied too much.

A few thougths here.

Starting out light (0.1) and moving on to thicker pen is a waste of time. Start out with the thick darker areas and lines and finish wirth the light pens. It's counter intuitive but such is life.

Don't think too much about what you'll be drawing as it will prevent you from acting the drawing. Just let it flow really. Who cares if it's not what exactly what you wanted.

Lastly, doing these kind of challenges moves you out of your comfort zone and having the habit to draw at least 45 minutes to an hour is a real momentum to get you going in all spheres of your life.

That's all folks.

Peace out.
