Unique Wax Sculptures - Art by Me About ~16 years ago

I've always wanted to have an entrepreneurial lifestyle, even about 16 years ago (32 now.) So I learned how to make these unique wax sculptures of anything from cakes, icecream, milkshakes in glass to appear old- timey with straws & a signature cherry, root beer sundaes, cupcakes, and probably more I am not thinking of.

I sold a lot of these variations and took orders, i.e, I could make an entire double- layer cake if someone wanted it. They'd place it in a glass cake holder. Or, whole cakes with a slice cut out. Some stores would buy and resell many of my different varieties.

You have to have regular kitchen kitchen utensils for these dedicated just for these for obvious reasons, no one likes waxy foods. LOL.

I am not going to give all my trade secrets away here. Hehe. You could burn most of these. Except the sundaes was too difficult to place wick all the way through. I don't personally know of anyone who would burn them though.

The icecream the wax had to be at a certain temp and quickly remove and start scooping. To make the icing you had to wait until the perfect time and whip the wax.

For the double layer cakes and cupcakes you could use solid chunks of appropriately shaped wax.

People would save their left over candle wax because some dyes were hard to find. I always tried to make the item smell like what it was intended too with candle wax scent.

I wish I had more pictures, my dad has a magnificent icecream sundae I made, but he and I don't talk so I can't obviously even take a picture. Thought you all might find this interesting.

I did have a couple friends and cousins think my cupcakes were real, no kidding and I'd say "DON'T EAT THAT!" Lol.

A creative mind is a great mind. :)
