My new year's shopping: Proxxon Drill / 新年のお買い物Proxxonのドリル

Another reason I need support of a machine is that I cut my finger quite deeply when I tried to open oysters in the end of year ........ it was my right index finger ...

Now I'm diligently making holes with the drill on Azuki beans, one of the most popular beans in Japan. It helps me a lot. I look forward to assembling them to a necklace.

来月スロベニアのBIO26というデザインのビエンナーレで豆のネックレスについて話す機会をいただいて、いそいそサンプルを作っています。手で豆に穴をあける方が豆の皮を壊さずきれいに穴をあけられると思うのですが、スピードアップしたいのと、年末に牡蠣を開けようとして右手の人差し指をざっくり切ってしまってまだ右手が本調子でないのとで、以前からほしかったProxxonのドリルを買いました。ベルリンのものづくりの師匠のおすすめです :) 今週は小豆にもりもり穴をあけて、来週ネックレスに仕上げたいです。できれば他にもうひとつドイツの豆と日本の豆で作って、みっつくらいサンプルを持っていけたらと思っています。
